I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

Ahahahahah. Rats are great. Such adorable little social creatures. I would love to get a couple if I didn't have cats :p
I had -- at the same time -- a cat, 2 mice, 2 hamsters, a Rat and a ferret when I was 10, oh so many years ago. (cough, cough, wheeze) Unforunately long before digital cameras were around. (I had a Brownie Starflash with ejectable bulbs!) They used to all rip around together, blissful in their ignorance of societal prejudices against such sacriligious things, and not a one was eaten neither in jest nor for lunch. Even had a cockateel years later that rode around on a cat's back, until the bird bit the cat and the cat would no longer go near the bird out of fear. It is surprising what criiters will do when they are well fed and bored to tears.

Are all those dogs/cats living under the same roof?!? :) That's my retirement dream, to have a boarding/grooming business!

LOL - ya...1 roof & 1 heart attack later!
All the animals get along for the most part - little chins defence (female)is a foxlike scream...& the male will latch onto the big guys lips & hang there...main concern is to avoid stubbing yer toe on 16yr old turtle.

I think if I ever get sad I'm going to come in to this thread and become instantly happy again. Some of the cutest little devils I've ever seen in here!! :D:D:D

I agree. I am a huge animal advocate and admire....er. There is nothing better to me than seeing pictures after pictures of dogs, cats, others who are loved and content. Always brings a smile to my face :). Thanks for making this thread phil!

This is babe. If she's not sleeping in a box, she's sleeping on my desk and if I've been busy and ignoring her, she'll come and plop herself down right on top of everything I've been working on, thus eliminating the cause of her being ignored. She's also pictured in my avatar, patiently awaithing a huge mouse to come out of a hole in the wall so she can grab it when it goes for the bread.

Priceless picture!! Those eyes, that stare, looks more like she's patiently waiting to pounce rather than sleeping :)

She had just climbed into that one and settled down and I thought the same thing 'priceless picture' so I ran for the camera and snapped that before she dozed off.

2 Dogs and a cat all because someone else didn't want them and I'm a sucker.

LOL Yup... that's how we got all ours besides the baby. Se's the only one we actually said "ok, let's get a new cat!" I got Meika first when my friends sister got knocked up and asked me to take care of her for 4-6 months until she moved. She facebooked me a year later wanting the cat back.... you can guess what I said. A few months after I got Meika, I got Charlie from my friend (same one) who had gotten a kitten as a novelty because her sister had one and it looked cool.. who didn't want her anymore. My bf got Tiger when his friend found 2 little brother kittens on the side of the road in a cardboard box :(

They're all spoiled lil brats now though! :p

With so many unwanted pets it's nice to see other people picking them up too. None of these critters would have been my eighth pick if I had the choice but they are all my little fur babies now. I guess I know how a mother feels when she has an ugly child now :)

Mine are in my Profile pic. (not the angry swimming avatar cat).

Jasper and Spencer our 2 little guys. Well.......... no change that, they are our two loud mouth overgrown kings of the castle.

They are both rescue cats. We fostered a sick puppy a while back, also took in 2 budgies, a whole bunch of fish from a young kid including a goldfish, shark, plecto, beta etc...

Come to think of it, I believe every animal we have owned together has been rescued or adopted. I would have a whole house full if I could, and he would have 5 dogs if he could but we keep eachother in check :)

Cat is Bella
Little bathmat dog is Aurora
Collie is Tasha

Just like my children I didn't get to name any of them. The little dog rules the roost and is vicious. VCR and it is a top of the line 6 header HIFI baby! How else am I going to watch my Denise Austin tapes anyways? Still have a crush on her.

Aww look @ them sleeping harmoniously together! What are their names? Oh and we're all suckers when it comes to animals :)

** is that a VCR in the background?!? :D

100% agree - just seeing Jasper and Spencer and cuddle like that leads me to think that they're very affectionate cats...

and you can tell that my pooch has some separation issues - she's at the window every single morning when we leave for work :)

I love how a picture can capture an animals personality so well!!
