I'm a newbie vapor and and am investigating building a mod. I will probably start with a simple box mod (e.g. puck, nicostick) or a pipe mod, but can't help myself from looking ahead. While browsing fasttech, I came across $12.91 1.5A 2*18650 Single USB Output Mobile Power Pack Battery Charger w/ LED Flashlight at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping. Wouldn't this be a candidate for a mod by replacing the switch with a momentary switch and the led with a connector? What do you think?

Exactly right. You would want to increase the output, but it would make a decent box. If you made a usb-atty adapter with a momentary switch, you could actually keep the recharging capability and flashlight
Two thoughts.
fist: 1.5 amps at lets say 4 volts for easy math will only be 6 watts. which I think is to low and it would be turning its self or burning up.
second: I'm not sure about this, but it is very common in battery chargers to convert the 120V AC to the battery charging voltage at 1/2 wave AC and use the battery being charged to act like caps and filters the 1/2 wave to DC. In this case with no battery, I'm not sure 1/2 wave 4.2 V AC would do a good job?

Yeah, I guess it would huh? Just didn't think of it in those terms because I was picturing it attached directly rather than on a cord. Oh well, at least I've proven I'm still flexible enough to get my foot in my mouthThat's called a passthrough
