None of my other drip tips would fit in one of my KFL clones so...
I drilled out the stock tip :)

I saw another post from someone who basically "sawed it off" then smoothed it - nice work there!
Something I noticed - test draw, just the tip and cap assembly - and any tip OTHER than the stock, there was a total perfect pitch whistle! I was thinking that's why it was shaped that way - to cut the whistle I've heard of with original Kayfuns.
But with a full built device with juice, I don't get a whistle anyway.

First thing I wanted to try was a short, more open tip - for size and looks - and there is DEFINITELY a big impact on the vape.
I've been switching back and forth depending on my mood...right now, I'm kinda liking a small black delrin tip I have in my Russian.

The sawed off kfl tips look good. I saw one in person the other day. I think I'm going to try it. I have 3 tips I use on mine 2 kfl's and they are all wide bore.
Much better draw that I now prefer since I've been a non-smoker for 5 months now and have moved on from the need to feel a tight pull on drags a la the nasties.

That's one of the reasons that I prefer the KFL over the 3.1. I don't really like metal drip tips (although many do), and with the 3.1 an adapter was needed.

You will find that although it says it's compatible with 510 drip tips, some will be too loose, some too tight and so forth. Of course the same is true with my Protanks, Vivi Novas and many others.

My theory is that the stock drip trip condenses the flavor when vaping with average resistance coils at an average power setting (6-8 watts). I just don't think it functions as well on lower ohm coils with more power. I could be totally wrong though, but it makes sense.

I found replacing the drip trip with a wider bore increased airflow, vapor, flavor, th, etc.

The Aerotank drip trip is amazing! I wish I could find some place that just sold those separately.

I keep the stock drip tip on my KFL+ when I'm using a juice that I really enjoy the flavor of. It seems to really enhance the flavor as it hits my tongue. I actually thought that my juice was somehow leaking out of the drip tip when I first started using it because the flavor was that intense.

If I'm looking for bigger throat hits, more vapor, etc., at the cost of slightly diminished taste, I'll throw a different tip on there with a wide range diameter hole.

i know exactly what you mean! it didnt happen on my kfun 3.1 clone, but it did happen to me a lot on the pulse g clone. i was constantly pulling off the drip tip and looking for misplaced juice until i finally realized "yep! its giving you that much flavor!" :)

for my kfun 3.1 drip tip, i use this one. its a two-piece drip tip so the black delrin insulator pulls off. i use just the top part and it looks awesome and performs awesome on my unit.
