I want to order a mini but without batteries its worthless!!

I know they highly recommend high drain imr bats but Ive been using mine with regular lit ion 14500s just fine. I normally run standard atties but I don't think it'd be bad with LR either. Just my 2 cents.

I wish I could afford good AW bats. Unfortunately just stuck with my junk-fires but they work so I can't complain too bad I guess. I mean they're like 2 for the price of one AW. Oh well.

Honestly, without the AW IMR's, you are missing the full capabilities of the Mini. When you can, get them.

I purchased a Reo Mini in the Classifieds, and I've been reading all the threads here .. but I have one question. Can I charge the AW IMR 14500s on a TR-001 charger that I got from Mad-Vapes or should I get another charger for the AWs?

Yes you can. Just make sure you check the voltage comming off the charger a few times to make sure they aren't being "over charged" with a multimeter. That will ensure the batteries life isn't shortened...
(They should be comming off at 4.1ish v's to 4.2v)

unsure

To answer the question about the charger yes you can. As far as batteries go I would definately get the AW IMR as soon as you can. This is what is recommended for this type of mod and I wouldn't use other type batteries for too long in it. I have heard the AW 14500 protectee batteries are okay to use but in my opinion I wouldn't take the chance. Those reo's just cost too darn much to use other batteries that aren't recommended.

The only risk you have running non imr batteries is poorer performance. Take it from a pretty experienced mod builder, there is absolutely nothing you could harm on this mod using any battery. Well unless you somehow jammed a much larger battery in and got it stuck or used some insane non existent high vtage battery that somehow melted the spring and or contact. The reo is all mechanical so there is pretty much almost no way to harm it cides completele destruction of the unit by force. Just my 2 copper but if you're in a bind the worst that could happen is it doesn't function as nice as with imr batteries.
