Seems to me that the 300-post rule is an arbitrary number (
very much so.) If it weren't an arbitrary number, then it would be reasonable to believe that
anyone with less than that number would be excluded - not just those who weren't members before 11/2010.
Same for supporting members - unless ECF is offering some sort of financial protection to anyone that gets 'stiffed' by someone (a supporting member) in the classifides.
I understand there should be some sort of vetting process but such a high post count, or pay a subscription to the site seems to leave a foul taste in my mouth (
and many others as well it would appear.) Grandfathering in 1+ year non-supporting members (
with less than 300 post counts) is really just a way to appease long-timers
(keep the natives calm.)
My vote will be to not participate in the classifieds until I 'qualify' fully (
i.e., when I 'grow up'). Until then - the 300+/Veterans/Supporting Members can play in their own sand box.
