I found every flavor company has its gems. I actually found some of the best TPA gems are from posts that said oh my god this flavors awful and smells way to flowery *that's a hint it's way too high*. Dont be lazy with your diy. you can't assume that one flavor that mixes at 10 percent will work with another flavor. Then you never met TPA caramel cappuccino. TPA is great flavor company. However you need to approach with caution because One flavor what's best only a few drops per 10 ml.others work good at 1 to 2 percent. others are good at 10 to 15 percent. I mix everything in complex recipes and whenever I use a TPA flavor I always do my research first. If you don't want to get your hands dirty and mix up 1 percent 2 percent 5 percent 10 percent 15 percent batches for your own testing then at least dig through this forum find out what everyone else uses. I'm sorry too say if you don't spend the time to do your research then you will miss out on some really great flavors. and as a disclaimer taste is subjective yada yada yada your mileage may vary blah blah blah to be honest I don't stick with one flavor company I mix and match. but most of my blends have some tpa flavor in it. I don't think I could live without the koolatta.

Every vendor has good and bad flavors. I personally love TFA's Caramel Cappuccino and DRY4 (Double RY4). But I can't stand their pineapple (sorry, Kurt :) ). Everybody is different.

 Oh wow... I made some juice using TFA Pineapple, and I thought it was fantastic. Getting ready to order a much larger bottle of it this week. Go figure.

If you're mixing at 10% and you don't taste anything, chances are you're using too much. I know it's counterintuitive, but if that's happening, cut it down to 2 or 3% and revisit it.

I said before that many TFA flavors are precise, powerful, and unforgiving. I don't think that makes them bad, I just think that makes them challenging.

I'm fairly new to DIY, and I haven't used any flavors besides what's offered by WL. That's forced me to work with predominantly TFA flavors, which I'm actually thankful for. I've learned by LOTS of stinkers and trial/error that TFA concentrates need to be finely tuned in mix, and lower percentages are usually the best route.

im pretty new to DIY, but my first orders were from tfa. the following:

milk chocolate (like eating coco COPYRIGHTDMCA standing in the smoke cloud of a bonfire, will not re-order)
maraschino cherry (pretty good, i'll order again)
cheesecake (worthless at 5%, remixed at 15% and its the bomb, already ordered again)
coffee (not bad, not good, undecided on re-order, need to further experiment with cream and sweetener )
cuban cigar (like cigar flavored sugar, will not re-order)
cappuccino (undecided on re-order)
apple pie (concentrated soar throat, makes my throat raw, will not re-order)
blackberry (not bad, but chemish flavor, undecided on re-order)

on my first order from tfa cheesecake was one of the flavors, i noticed white chunks, very small flakes floating in the bottle, emailed the company but got no response on safety concerns. but it was good so i re-ordered it, I do not like the idea of some one not responding to a health/quality concern email. all the new flavors i ordered last time were from a different supplier/product. if any one knows of a good maraschino cherry, cheesecake, apple pie, blackberry or coffee that taste as good or better than the TFA please let me know.

From TFA's site:
Cheesecake Flavor

water soluble
smooth and creamy - great combined with fruit flavors

this is not a strong flavor, and because of the butter esters there can sometimes
be a small amount of particulate formation that does not affect the flavor.
.
these particles will float to the top of the bottle. just gently heat the bottle and shake
and they will disappear.

No worries on that, seems like it's a normal occurrence.

Perfumers Apprentice - Cheesecake Flavor

Cheers,
Steve
