So lets start off with the positives, I have been smoke free since I received my Joye Ego 510 about two months ago. It started off great, and didn't have an urge for a cigarette and everything was going better than I could have imagined. Until I kept itching and couldn't figure out what the hell was going on. So I did some research and found out that many people are allergic to PG, I was happy that I wasn't on the boat all by myself. So happy that I "figured out the problem" I ordered PG free vapes from Velvet Vapors and got them in two days ago............I AM STILL ITCHING! Now I am ......, I can't go without me ecig so that is not an option. I need some help, please!

Fluids, and lots of em. vaping is extremely dehydrating which a LOT of vapers have found out the hard way. Up your fluid intake, water, decaf tea, lemonade, kool-ade, whatever you can stand to drink a lot of that's caffeine and alcohol free.

I didn't itch so much as my lips peeled and I found myself hitting the lip balm and hand lotion, over and over again. Once I got the right balance of liquids I was fine, or at least back to normal. Occasionally I will still forget to keep my fluid intake up and I always know it.

Happened to me when I started vaping 100%pg, lasted a few months. Aveeno body wash, gold-bond lotion, and benadryl at night helped tons with the itch. It is almost gone now, and I've been vaping either 50/50 or 100% vg the whole time. Also, I stopped vaping dekang liquids at the same time. Good luck. It should pass.

Are the liquids that you purchased HBH2 ALL VG ? Many of the suppliers use PG FLAVORINGS yet call there liquids VG ! You may want to check on this fact and ask the supplier you purchased from if he is using a pg based flavoring or a water based or VG Based which there aren't as many VG Based flavorings, so just make sure and try these VG water based flavorings

For what it's worth:

I started getting itchy and really nasty acne about a month into vaping. I'm all cleared up now, and I'm suspicious that it was really just my body's immune system shifting into overdrive due to me not smoking anymore (lots of threads on this). I ended up taking generic Claritin daily (about $15 for 300 pills on amazon) and used some Benzoyl Peroxide facewash and wipes to get me through. It lasted about 4 months.

Now I vape 50/50 PG/VG without issues. Still a few zits here and there, but nothing I can't deal with. I'm a greasy Italian anyway.

+1 I broke out, my skin seems to be getting more oily and believe it or not but I own a pharmacy but hate taking medicine.

At about the 2 month point I started the itchies. adjusted pg/vg levels up and down. Thought I was drinking enough water.....wrong...still needed more water. Even after all this time, if I don't really put in the water I get itchy. I hope that is all it is for you ! It is miserable to itch !

Just a question, but have you seen an allergist to confirm that PG is the problem? I'm not trying to come off like someone that thinks there's no way e-cigs could be bad, I'm asking for your sake. I started having problems pretty bad with itching, turns out I have eczema and there is something in this house (got really bad when I moved here) that is causing the problem. Ecigs were one of the first things that came to mind, but was ruled out as I had had minor symptoms for years (misdiagnosed as unknown allergies), and that it got really bad right at the time I moved here (had been vaping for months before that). Final nail was that it went away when I was gone for 2 weeks, but came back a day after I returned (and I was vaping the whole time).

If you suspect an allergy it can take a little while to clear up. I have very sensitive skin, and when something flares up I take Tagament (the stomach acid stuff) because it works the same as Benedryl, but it doesn't make you sleepy.

Hadn't heard about that, interesting. I take Benedryl and something else, along with steroid cream (without the cream the antihist just slow down the progress). The good ones that worked great I can't take long term (either has steroids, or literally puts me to sleep).

I have had a tendency to itchy skin long before I started vaping, can't even use Bounce sheets in the dryer.......:( we have low humidity up here in interior Alaska

From the other posts:
ditto on the Aveeno body wash, gold-bond lotion, and benadryl at night I have used all of those for quite awhile

Also ditto on the drinking lots of fluids, especially after starting vaping

Another thing that helped is fish oil or flaxseed oil. I started the flaxseed oil and it helped with a bunch of different little issues I had....

Hope you find your solution and can keep vaping...... good luck
