I've seen it suggested to eat something really salty. A few days ago my tastebuds were going a little numb, and I ate some salted sunflower seeds, dunno if it was related but they were perked up right after. I was also drinking water with lemon in it at the time.

I suspect all these suggestions are like hiccup "cures," but it never hurts to try.

This happened to me too. I've seen many many posts on this as well but not sure if any of the "cures" really work. Like Biziou said, like curing hiccups. I can't remember if anything actually helped or if it just resolved itself but coffee seems like a good idea. I tried a million different juices the first few weeks and I think my tastebuds were in overload and said F this, I need a break!

Agreed.

Honestly, the one thing that is working for me the most is a SI Volt cig-style auto with a pre-filled menthol cart. Just emulating the act of smoking is helping me mentally (I'm getting the nic I need, but my brain doesn't compute).

Same thing happened to me yesterday, axolotly. Luckily I had received a sample of Frost from the Vapor Station. I personally am not a menthol lover, but this was for my son who wanted a "mint" type liquid. I vaped it for a while, drank water and tea and still no taste bud action. Finally I just got tired and went to bed. This morning I was cautious and didn't vape first thing, got my coffee had a cup, loaded up my X2 and 'lo and behold the taste buds went to work again - I was sooooo happy!:D

I took my coffee and cigs seriously in the mornings, and it's definitely the same with vaping. If this happens to me, I will be the happiest boy in the whole wide world. Please, Santa, help me out.

Kind of a simple question, but I just noticed a difference. Do you brush your tounge when you brush your teeth?

Oh yeah.

On a good note, My coffee and vape this morning is very satisfying. I'm still using the menthol/watermelon combo which isn't my favorite, but I can taste it more than last night! I'm going to take it nice and slow today. :D

No amount of teeth brushing, gargling, or mouthwashing will help. Loss or muted "taste" of your liquids has nothing to do with your mouth or your tastebuds. It has everything to do with your NOSE! More accurately, your nasal cavity where your olfactory nerves are located. heh. It's my little pet peeve when people say/blame their tastebuds, which is very incorrect (I wish people would stop saying it's their tastebuds when it has nothing to do with it) unless you talk about sensing sweet, sour, salty, bitter, or umami. Your sense of smell is fatigued. The reason drinking coffee works is because you are smelling coffee, which has the curious ability to "reset" your nose's ability to dicertain smells/tastes. Try just inhaling strong coffee grounds if you don't drink coffee, like me. Similar post I've made on the subject here:

Hope that helps. Cheers mate.

This makes a ton of sense! Thanks for this. And I am vaping much better today, but can't wait to be back at 100%. :D
