Do all/most Capellas flavors need steeping?
First attempt here, at least when my supplies come in.
I started VERY simple and ordered a 5 pack of flavors that sounded like they would be stand alone:
Lemon Lime
Banana
Strawberries & Cream
Peaches & Cream
Sweet Strawberry

I don't want to be doing anything complicated until I'm comfortable with what I'm doing, including mixing flavors.

I give them a nice warm water bath, it seems to help mix the flavors better for me. I do find that when using capellas the flavors get better after a week.

I mixed up a batch of apple Danish this morning, after a quick water bath before work it was vapable but from past experience with this mix, that in a week or so, the flavors are the best.

I haven't mixed any P&C yet but the strawberry with a little vanilla custard and a touch of em is vapable right away. :)

Anyone used Amaretto or Pralines & Cream before? I ran out of ones I was interested in and just threw those in the last 5 pack I got.

dj, Pralines & Cream is one of my favorites as a stand-alone @12%. I like mixing my Amaretto as a 60% Amaretto, 40% NY Cheesecake blend. I get panicky if I run low on the P&C b/c I enjoy it so much.

UFS, just to let you know that the Lemon Lime is actually a dead ringer for Mountain Dew. One of my daughter's friends raves about it b/c she drinks Mtn Dew instead of colas.

hhmmm.... I don't know if I should be disappointed or not. LOL
I'm aiming for something close to Juicy Vapor's Ecto Plasma, which is a lemon/lime. Reminds me of a punch or kool-aid lemon lime.

I did order some EM. Actually the cotton candy flavor from WL.
I'll get into mixing more than flavor eventually.

Even if you add a couple of drops you will notice it. For me it seems to help blend the flavors a bit. But that is for my own personal tastes.

You're welcome, Salem. I don't drink Mtn Dew so I had to take the ladies' word for it. I found the P&C to be a little strong @ 15%. You'll probably like it @ 10-12%. I'm starting to lower on percentages now and liking them just as well.

I have figured the same thing out. We really do not need a lot of flavoring to make good flavors. I have always liked my flavors light anyway.

I will add those two to my 5 pk list. I am dying to try their Sugar Cookie anyway.

I have tried TPA Dew Drops and it tastes exactly like Mt Dew IMO. But, we don't like the regular because it is too sweet and syrupy IMO. The DMD is much lighter in taste.

I have this same coughing issue vaping marshmallow as a standalone at 10%. It tastes good but leaves me with a hacking cough just like in my smoking days but not quite as strong. I personally am going to assume that my body is trying to tell me something and avoid it from now on except in very small amounts to soften chocolate recipes.

Is it narcissistic to quote oneself, lol? Anyways, I put the marshmallow aside for a bit and then went back to it with no issues. Now I'm starting to wonder if my allergies (which have been off-the-charts bad this year) had something to do with the throat irritation. Whatever it was, I didn't feel right about not giving an update and potentially scaring people away from an excellent flavor.

Vape on.

Tracker, something else I was wondering about is the water consumption. When we were new vapers and posting in the New Members and General Section, we were told by others that PG dries a person out somewhat and to drink more water. For myself, I drank a lot of water and was okay with it. But then, as I got used to vaping and more settled into it, I forgot to keep my water consumption up. I guess if there really is a "drying out," that could include the throat. Just a thought ....

Your raise a good point Sea. Come to think of it, I haven't been keeping my big bottle of water at the desk like I used to.

Anyways, it's good to have my marshmallow back. Sometimes it's nice to have a nice, clean, palate-cleansing vape that you don't have to think about or obsess on how to make better.

I'd let it steep for a week and re-evaluate. If it's still too strong, try lowering the %s.

Hoosier was critical in my awareness that is too easy to 'over flav' a mix. Take a look at his blog...

I need some Veteran's help. I made 60 ml of Milk Choc. Toffee at 17% and 2% Cotton Candy. After 1 hour flavor is very strong and I don't like it. Would I need more days of steeping ?? Choc. Glazed dognout and Choc. Coconut Almond were perfect at 15%. So I figured that extra 2% won't hurt.

youmadbrah, it has been my experience that the Milk Choc Toffee is one of the stronger flavorings. I therefore, prefer to mix it at about 12@. Just thinking that if you were to try and smooth it out somewhat, maybe you could try adding a little extra PG or VG to it. I feel confident in saying I'm sure it would improve it.
