This is what I need to do before I mess around anymore. I need to find one of these flavors I like before I run out of vendor juice.

yes, only way I "learned" the flavors was to make one-flavor pg/vg mixes (no nic, don't waste it yet).

Once you know what each flavor tastes like, it will occur to you what ones will go together, too. then, you can make 2-flavor juice. :)

....and so on.......

I haven't made ANYTHING I like a whole lot yet, so limping along here w/no vendor juice, but I can't buy any right now so I make do.

I don't see how anyone has the patience to perfect multi-flavor recipes. Hopefully someday I'll get there... but for now... my impatient self will settle for the easy 1-2 flavor mixes, or recipes someone else has already figured out.

I guess I'm a glutton for punishment I will mix several flavors.

It should be obvious from the name but can you describe what this one tastes like? More icing, more dough, what? I was intrigued.....

Well the initial inhale is a decadent chocolate, not a over the top sweet, but mouth watering just the same. Before the exhale starts you can sense the,"what should be glazed",it tastes more like Capellas cake batter with a sweet top note that has a vanilla taste to me.This is a juice i did not keep in my DIY arsenal until a post i read on the taste. It is an excellent stand alone and is now one of only three capellas i keep on hand.I am sure this one would taste more like, the name says,if i were to steep it for a while.I just can't get past the chocolate doughmut smell after the mix, this one does not last long with me once i mix a batch. You will enjoy this one with no dought.

Thanks for the tips, Racehorse.

I tried out the Hangsen Ry1 recipe over here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-no-perfume-no-caramel-no-vanilla-no-tba.html

It is quite good. Nice base for mixing every-now-and-then when straight RY1 gets old.

As far as Capellas, I am thinking the Green Apple is going to work for me and can experiment with that a bit. The Cinnamon Danish Swirl is nice, but very strong even at 12%. I like it, though as a true dessert (vape it once in a while).

If you need more throat hit, PG will give you that, whereas VG gives more vapor production. Hope that helps.
this is the suck. :(
i have harvest berry and i havent mixed it yet. i guess if theres no TH, i will need to add this one to another juice or maybe go mega with my nic%.
i still plan to try it first on its own, and i will let you know my results.

UPdate on my horchata: its awesome at 10%. if anyone is a sweet, creamy, nutty fan- hop on the bus :)

My first chance at Capella is going to be Cake Batter that I got from RTS on a $50 gift certificate that I won on Twitter---- I am curious and happy to try this out, Vaperite had a good cake batter and I hope to make my own soon that is just as good or better

After this I will branch out to other Capella flavors I think

So far the only flavors I much care for from Capella's are Raspberry, Coconut, and Chocolate Fudge brownie (in blends). Still not sure about French Vanilla, it's really buttery. (strong) Cinnamon Danish is ok but to me, it's missing something.
Flavors I gave up on or have had no success with so far: peanut butter, cool mint, sweet watermelon,

Have you tried the peaches and cream and the sweet strawberry? How about the chocolate glazed doughnut or the hot cocoa?

Tried the sweet strawberry. I did like it ok but didn't mess too much with it. (only had a teeny tiny bottle) Haven't tried any of the others you listed.

I hated this flavor when I first tried it- got nothing from it. After steeping a month, it has turned into a favorite. I am so surprised at what steeping (time) did for both the bakeries and the fruits.

I mix this one at 10%-13% and while it is not at the full chocolate doughnut stage,it is good enough to down the bottle quickly enough. It is really interesting how subjective taste comes into play here, with this mix, from steeping stages.

Got my first cap order today. Trying Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Peaches and Cream. Both at 10%, 70/30, and 12mg. They smell wonderful. Just wondering how long these need to steep. Both taste ok fresh, but just not quite there. They have an almost chemical flavor. Already a lot closer than my TFA experiments. Noticed that TFA doesn't smell like it is supposed to be straight out of the bottle like the cap flavors do.

CFB 13ml
Peaches and Cream 13 ml
Hazelnut 13 ml
Double Chocolate 13 ml
Green Apple 13ml
Caramel 13 ml
PG 236 ml
Vg 236 ml

Just a note on the shipping. I only got the option for UPS at $14.

Ordered pear w/ stevia, pom + blueberry w/ stevia+ peach w/ stevia for water.. (for ME)

Hi,

I was reading through this thread and found your post. I also ordered the blueberry pomegranate with stevia from HDV. I was curious what your outcome was with this juice and if you have any recommendations? And the pear was grabbing my eye too, although I have not ordered it yet. Did you like that one?

Thanks!

That's weird, out of all the peanut butter's I've tried those are the only two I feel comes close. Each seemed to miss just barely. Now I have something else to try...thanks!

How much was your base PG/VG ratio with this recipe. I was wondering because I use all VG except for the flavors because they are mixed in PG so most of the time I have to add more flavor. Thx
