i know there's gotta be some in here. myself, i've been a car nut since time out of mind. then i got my first vehicle, which was an 86 Ranger pick-up. blew the stock 4 banger and dropped a fully built 302 under the hood and i became a tire smoke addict. things have gone downhill since then, as i graduated to an 87 Escort someone had modified with a Holley 650cfm carb...got horrid fuel economy, ran pig rich, but damn she was quick. now i'm a Taurus SHO nut, and over the past 9 year, i've owned about ten of the things. my current stable has a mildly modified 98 SHO that's my wife's daily driver, and my beast, which is an extensively modified 95 5-speed model that looks like crap, sounds even worse, but goes like stink. so what sort of fossil-fuel burning dragons do ya'll have lurking behind closed garage doors?

You mean that thing that I have been meaning to get back to, but keep getting sidetracked?

1964 Olds Dynamic 88 with a 394 that could drag a house. Limited slip rear end so it does that backend boogy when leaving tire on the blacktop.

(Fuel tank is currently shot. Keep putting off have a new one fabricated.)

Still have an old promo poster of the 69 Hurst Old 442 that I've always wanted but never could afford.

First car was a 65 Corvair that I rebuilt from the inside out starting at age 14 and it was ready when I got my licence. Not fast, but that puppy could take a winding road at an unbelievable pace.

Next car was much the same except the 110 engine and 4 spd convertible instead of the 95 w/3 spd hardtop. Rebuilt the tranny with the Saginaw parts and spent way too much time sync'ing the carbs.

(Yep, tend to go for the odd, off the beaten path, cars.)

Oh crap, here we go...I've had many many cars in my 50yrs of life. First car, 66 impala SS convert had that at 14. Went to full sized 60's big block fords after that, Had many Galaxies/Customs etc. Then I got into uni body fords i,e. 70 cobra Torinos...THEN, went on to my Mercury binge...70 cougar Eliminator, 70 Cyclone Spoiler. And Then at some point in the mid 80's I decided I liked Chev trucks, so I've had many 69-72 Chev Blazers, a couple of 67-72 short beds. And my current collection consist of a 1970 bagged factory 2wd blazer, and a 1970 Mercury Montego(cyclone, clone some day). Both are projects, Blazer almost completed. So yea, lets talk cars.:w00t:
Btw, outside of this forum, I am on a forum called...67-72chevytrucks.com...
Current stable other than garage projects mentioned...
2001 Subaru 2.5 RS, DD(daily driver)
2000 GMC shorty p/u 2wd sporting 22's, DD
98 Isuzu Trooper(awesome 4wd vehicle)

i'm looking forward to getting ahold of a 68 Mustang fastback to completely tear down and rebuild with a few personal touches. unlike many traditional car guys, i really dig resto-mods. hell, the sexiest hot rod i've seen this year was a 32 Ford roadster with a lincoln MKIII DOHC V8 lurking in front of the firewall.

That's why my Blazer is not finished. I'm debating whether to go back to a completely stock engine configuration, or go the bling bling resto mod motor.
On the Montego side, I'm wanting to do a modular power plant(4.6/5.4), not sure of if it's even feasible or not.

Right now I've got an Acura RSX Type-S. Left it stock mostly because I've had no cash to dedicate to it. My wife also has an RSX, but hers has all sorts of bolt on upgrades. Eibach springs, Greddy exhaust, performance clutch, cross drilled rotors, and more. She bought it from her cousin after he put everything on it. It's just not fair that her car is faster than mine when she knows nothing about them...lol

My dream is to get a Datsun 240Z, turn it into an SCCA specced car, and race the crap out of it. I would also love to restore a '67 Camaro RS/SS some day.

I want a 57 Chevy...that's all...2 door pillar less...black...purple ghost flames through the front...someone send me one :(
Currently drive a 2007? Dodge Magnum RT hemi 5.7L (Semi-Hemi!!). Have an old Lincoln town car, a white 80s Chevy something a rather pickup, a 200? Jeep...and some huge white truck with massive tires I have to practically jump up to get in the damned thing. I'm not sure what the cars are over here, I'm slowly getting used to it. They are different from what we have back home.

I haven't owned anything nice as far as cars. That said, I absolutely love classic cars. My dream machine's are a 58 Corvette convertible and a 57 Chevy Bel Air Convertable. Love those cars! My dream machines:

NOW you're talkin'. C1 Corvette.

My second car was a 60 Corvette with a custom installed 327 & Munzie 4 spd.

First car was a 61 MGA

after the Corvette, 54 Porche 356
followed by a 47 Willies, a few trucks, a 57 Volvo P444 split window (shaved, all black w/ red & blue flames and baby moons.) and a 72 Alfa Romeo Spyder (corrected the spelling for Alfa... must have been asleep)

Sure wish I had that Corvette back. When I sold it, I made a "huge" profit by selling it for $1450. The MGA went for $650, The Porche sold for $2000. I could retire if I still had them.

I'd load some pictures but I'm not sure how to post them on this forum. :)

Nice taste Eekaa, I've never had either of them, however the 58-59 vettes are nice. I love the 58 better though. I have a buddy with a 59 vette. Sweet.

I just had a revelation...I can vape in my blazer. cool. I love smokin and cruisin...
Thanks! I would be borrowing my buddies car a lot (assuming he would let me, lol).

Wow, sounds awesome! I go to take a ride in 58 Vette once, I didn't want to get out of the car, lol. If you want to post pics, just upload them to a site like photobucket then copy the image link and paste it in your reply. :) Love to see the cars!

I know it's not a "classic", but I'm working on my 3g Eclipse right now. So far I've updated to halo projector euro headlights, AEM cai, and nightshaded all the lights except the headlights. Maintenance wise I've done a radiator overhaul, replaced the oil pan, and put in a new battery last week. It only has 36,000 on it. :)

Should look somewhat like this after I get it lowered, tinted, and get new wheels and a cf hood:
