Nice BeeCee
I've been thinking of doing that to mine also. The shorty sounds nice, do you get any drone at highway speeds?

Wow, what timing for posting! Caught me right before heading out of town.

No, no drone at all. It just sounds really good and can be loud at time but not as loud as the street.

Theres the press on the shorty (and my car) I did the write up and it will tell you a bit more about the system. :)

They did plug the Shorty with my ride. :D Which was an HONOR. My car was the 2nd to have it in there and it went over VERY well at the nationals.

If you get one let Jeff know I sent you, my name is Adriana (beecee). He will know who I am.

Nice avatar!

Pics jboze...PICS!! LOL

Nice jasezero, you let stuff that close to it?? I have always wanted a 69 Stang with a 351 Cleveland ever since they came out, but then I got hooked on Mopars. I love the sound of a Cleveland.

Thanks man...yeah, i only have a 2 car garage...and the Infiniti i mentioned before is getting stripped down in the other bay...doesn't leave me a lot of room to store stuff...I like the Dodge stuff...the newer stuff though really leaves a sour taste when I look at the interior though...i really considered the Camaro and the Challenger but i realized I couldn't live with a daily with that bad of an interior for the money.

We are definitely car people, and hit every car show we can, we have daddy's GMC pickup, OUR Corvette, momma's Cadilllac STS and daddy's T-Bucket ( his baby ) to the left. My husband was raised in the auto parts and repair buisness, which we still have today so he's always tinkering on something, he also has an auto resale license so when he buy's something to resale and he like's it, like the Corvette, he keeps it. My garage is to full, I have to keep telling him no more car's haha.

Nice Sleepy...I miss the old Willys coupes too...you dont see many around anymore.

Shatner, thats about the same color blue as my Cuda. I was in the middle of buying a house after I finished mine so I never really got any good pics to show how deep the paint color was. I had extra heavy metalflake added to it because it was a little darker blue than what you have there. After it was rubbed out and clear-coated it turned out great.

I see by the last pic it doesn't always work out like the commercials does it?LOL

Actually, it's the exact paint code that the Dodge Viper blue is.

And no, not with stock tires. I had to get winched out. It was a Warn 9.5k# winch and it had a bit of trouble. I did get through the same hole, in worse conditions, when I got BFG 33" mud terrains, though. Locked the diffs and it was like driving through a puddle. These trucks are very capable with a tire upgrade.

Do I see a fuel injection conversion? Or a dry nitrous kit? Could be neither; I'm not too familiar with Mopar.

You got it...it is a four injector, 4 barrel throttle body DFI system that I had to tailor fit to my 360 because at the time they only had the kits for GM and Ford. It has the oxygen, MAP, TPS, IAC and air & water temp sensors just like a newer car does. It also controls the MSD ignition system and timing. The computer mounts up under the dash and I can plug my laptop in inside the car and go down the road and change the fuel or timing settings or view any of the engine data realtime. It even gets down to the nitty gritty like being able to change the pulse width of the injectors and so on. I can even save to a data file like a snapshot of whats going on or like a log file showing any parameters I want to see for the length of time you choose. Sooo much more accurate and efficient than a carb for sure and safer than getting in there with a timing light or screwdriver around a spinning fan or hot manifold. In fact I have the throttle limiter set for 1000 RPM's so even if somebody did manage to break in and steal it they could only idle away...so I would find them at the end of the driveway.lol

My paint was a R-M Diamont brand called Sovereign Blue Metallic.

Hmmm...see you got me rambling on shatner...maybe I better leave this thread alone.:D

Thanks sleepy...I enjoyed them..except for the Firebird, the shop had the car more time than I did. They just kept saying any problems just bring it in...so finally after the 20th time I told them the next time I have to bring it in it will be through the showroom windows. They tore the whole engine down to the short block and replaced everything under warranty...no problems after that. LOL

8-o Ok. This is my next move. I really want to turbo charge my Z/28, but it's such a pain with a carb. And if I'm going with forced induction, I need realtime data logging. I'm not going to ask what it cost, but was it worth the money and time spent? I'm sure it was.

It was around $4000 if I remember right...here is the link. ACCEL DFI :: Fuel Injection ? Gen 8 ? Carb Conversion ? Thruster

It is definitely worth it, you can control EVERY aspect of the systems. You can get a 1,2 or 3 Bar (manifold pressure) systems..which for a turbo with that kind of positive pressure you would probably need a 2 or 3 Bar setup. It can control the Nitrous also. They have upgraded it a lot since 1995 so the software Calmap looks just like a dyno room on your laptop. I see they have some plug and play systems now too for newer model cars. Check them out you will be drooling.LOL

Thanks for the link. And yeah, with a turbo setup I'd need a 3 bar. Probably use one from a ford turbo diesel.

I roll around in a (rather beat up) mercedes 300e, but I want to "fix" my 96 firebird with a dead engine. I'm thinking if I get the money I'll either convert to a BIG electric engine or try to turn it rotary. (either one would be funny as hell)

It'd be nice if I could afford to redo the suspension on the cedes too...maybe find a way to switch to more tuneable fuel injection and reduce that throttle lag a little.
