I read there's been problems with the firing pin being too short/long depending on which kind of battery/atty you're using. Im looking at the hcigar version and was wondering which batteries work best with it right out of the box. Flat tops or buttons? I read the Infinite version includes different pin sizes but I really want it in brass. Does Infinite make a brass version?

The current version from Infinite has a floating pin instead of the awful original design of multiple pins of varying lengths to accommodate different battery sizes. I'd strongly suggest the Infinite version.

The Infinite version I see on Ebay from CodeVape advertises the 3 fixed pins, not a floating.

I saw that too. I read the new Infinite's have the floating pin, so that one must be an older version. Really surprised no one has made a floating pin yet, they'd sell like hotcakes.

Infinite revised their Caravela. Their first version had 3 separate pins like the original. The revision has not a floating pin, but a copper telescopic pin (a better solution anyways). If you can find a newer version, you're likely better off with that one. No pins to keep track of, and copper contacts.

Whether they fixed the threading flaw where the serial number doesn't align with the Caravela logo is another question.

The Infinite Caravela does NOT have the Pedro signature (which is a good thing IMO).

I have the Hcigar version, and I've found that "some" batteries fit properly, but it's dependent from battery to battery (even those of the same brand). It works fine and looks great, but I'm not sure I would buy it again. I'd look around for the newer Infinite version.
