I have been using tanks for a while now but I have made a change in the last month or so and build my own coils.

Now what worries me is that the cotton goes a little black and I sometimes get a burnt taste, now this is normal I assume as I wait until I get a little bit of a dry hit before adding more liquid.

But do you guys think that I am getting any carbon monoxide off this? I love vaping and have not smoked for many months now but I just wanted everyone's input on this.

So I am getting carbon monoxide from this? Should I keep it wet at all time then even if I am wasting liquid?

It's not as bad as smoking for sure I feel a lot healthier, but do you reccomend I should keep an RDA wet all the time to minimize the risk, or is it not worth worrying about?

Personally i am a habitual over dripper when i am using my RDA i hate having a burnt wick or a dry wick for that matter. My philosophy is its better to over drip then to take a dry hit lol
Don't you waste loads of liquid overdripping it though? I find that if I have a few drags and keep dripping it I am using tons more liquid than I would if I waited for it to go dry!

I have been using that scottish roll or whatever its called and found that get a lot more hits with an overly saturated wick and it holds a lot of juice to begin with. at most im wasting a dripper full of juice per wick. to me that worth not having a dry hit

The Scottish Roll made me quit using TC completely. No dry hits with TC was great but the vape on Ni200 just wasn't the same, now I can use my good old Kanthal builds without dry hits (getting 15 hits without redripping is awesome too).

Do you like overly sweet juices? Some sweet juices will pretty much caramelize the wick and the cotton isn't even really burnt and just looks like it.

I don't drip but I rewick my RTA every couple days, have a pile of wicks ready to go in a ziplock bag just the way I like them, just have to pull my old ones out, burn the gunk off and rewick all in about a min or two...

Paid 7$ for 200 cotton pads so cotton isn't an issue although I prefer cotton balls instead and have a couple bags that I paid 3$ each..

Oh and as others have said doing the scottish roll will make a substantial difference!

You will get used to it after a while and know when your wick is getting too dry

How would it be wasted, unless your RDA is leaking? It doesn't go anywhere. It's far safer to always keep the wick wet, and it tastes a lot better too. If you're going thru too much juice, turn down the power! Use higher ohms!
