Robert, I take my carts, remove the stuffing, wash the carts and the filler material (just plain hot water, or a rubbing alcohol bath followed by a hot water rinse), wring them out in a paper towel, then let them dry overnight. I'm still new, but that's been working for me just fine. I'm sure at some point, I'll need to invest in alternative filler material, but this is lasting me for now.
if I'm in a hurry I just use a hair dryer to dry the material, it takes less than 5 min.

Robert.......Great thread my friend. I have had my 510 for almost two months now,and have been dripping with it since day one.Other than having to switch tips with my 901 to keep leakage at bay,I have never had a problem with my atomizer because of it.This is the same atomizer I started with. IMO dripping has no more wear-and -tear on a 510 atomizer than using a cart with filler...and the throat hit is 10 times better.:)The Wiz!

Wow Robert, we think alike!

This was to be my next topic of research and you already dug up the answer!

So did you actually try the QUILT BATTING yet? If so, how is it working out 4 U? Have you found anything better yet, or does it work best for re-stuffing the carts???

I'm really liking the VX2-M kit. If you get another PV kit, consider getting one, you won't be sorry. Only bad thing is dripping will kill batts...but for when you're on-the-go (and can't drip) it's a great unit. I got the Black VX2-M kit and I'm considering a second kit. I refuse to give in and continue with analogs until I'm laying in a premature pine box. Seen it too many times in my own (extended) family.

Being new to this, I dissected a cart on my Joye 510 to look a the filler. Looks like a batting as most have said or poly fiber of some type.
Having been rolling my own cigs - I had a lot of blank filter tubes and thought "how about using an analog cig filter"?
Well, the length is the same, hum looks like the same material so I though I would give it a try. Well the filter is to large in diameter so I just pulled it in two.
Well it works and pretty good to tell the truth. The vape is strong and the filter material seems to wick real good. If you ever dropped a analog tip in water you can get the idea.
You can pick up analog cig filters (filters only) at any smokers outlet (at least here in Michigan) for penny's.

OK I dripped like you said , I think everything is so small. Not sure what the bridge is? I just put it in the middle, and I did get a better hit with flavor. Then I think I put too much it was gurgling and leaking. Seem a little better with no stuffing I guess. It seemed to work perfect the first dau maybe Happily was right just buy new carts.....oh I aggrivated....real cigs now taste like crap and give me a headache...I feel like I've bee doing mass amounts of nicotine trying to get a good hit....I was happy...I need to find fresh carts I guess...The fluval looked the same but still started tasting bad quick... the drip might be the answer.. do I want it to hit the wire covered thing sticking towards me? is that what the bridge is?

:evil:Robert
Just one thing: If you drip, dont use a battery with the automatic switch. The manual switched battery is sealed and no liquid will go into it.
My carts work better if I stuff them mysef. I use a similar product like fluwal. I have a bag of 100 grams; that is enough for the rest of my live :D. Yes the thing you have seen there in the center, is the bridge. The adwantage of dripping, is also a better control of your liquid consumption. Two drops are about equal 1 to 1.5 analog cigs.
Happy vaping, Oldie

I usually re-stuff my cartridge every couple of days. I use Fluval, and the entire process takes less than 30 seconds. My 801 atomizers are the high bridge type, so going longer than two days usually compacts the stuffing to a point where fluffing won't revive it.
