So a recent post got me thinking about my next Reo. I love the Minis - I don't have a Woodvil yet but in keeping with the spirit of having a bit of Reoville history I'm sure one will speak to me son enough and I'll nab it up.

Until then...this post rekindled one of my first ventures into this forum where I saw http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...otos-storage-ideas-part-i-25.html#post4294219

Now, having never used carto - can someone tell me if I wanted to use those particular drip tips what carto (is that even a carto in the pic?) would I need to use for good flavor and vape? Any vids on the subject would be great a well.

thanks!

Looking at the photo, that's got to be a 306 atomizer (not a cartomizer). You can tell it's a 306 as opposed to a 510, because the bridge and mesh are exposed (as opposed to being inside). To use a 306 atomizer you have to get a drip tip that's specifically for a 306, because it goes AROUND the atomizer (whereas a 510 drip tip goes INSIDE a 510 atomizer/carto, etc.).

I hope that makes any sense to you... :)

Here's a random pic I found online of a 510 atomizer next to a 306 atomizer.

So those you can rebuild too??

Also - do these vape more like clearos? I have never used mesh for wicking but I would have laughed at you if you told me 4 months ago I would be puffing on Rayon...

Nope, those aren't rebuildable. That type of atomizer is years old. Back when the only e-cigarettes were tiny 3-piece units with a battery, an atomizer, and a cartridge, this was basically the type of atomizer that you'd use. They are considered "disposable"... you can rinse them (in something like vodka or denture cleaner) and dry burn to get more life out of them, but they're not made to rebuild.

As mentioned, that is a 306...

Perhaps the die hard rebuildable folks will call me a blasphemer... and though I'm completely hooked on the RM2 now, I'm going to tell you that sometimes nothing satisfies quite like an LR306 (preferably Cisco, but even a cheapo bauway 306 os better than no 306). 306s don't tend to produce the bast flavor compared to most other attys... but there's just something about that exposed bridge, small bore, and the way a 306 draws. Coupled with a REO so you can always keep it fed and don't have to drip it, there's not much to complain about.

Been hooked on the rebuilding train since day one ..... Might have been one of the first REOnauts to get a RBA.

But before that Cisco 306's were it for me. And honestly if it were not for the juice in the air path (gurgle) I'd still use them from time to time.

Once you go with a slightly larger air flow on the side its almost impossible to go back to bottom air attys no matter how good.

I bet Frank (Cisco) wonders about me from time to time.
I used to place orders @ 100-150 bucks a pop!

MsLoud.....there is a rebuildable that would fit on the mini that is the size of the old atomizers it is called a "Diver" MOV has them :) The reason I am suggesting this is after going rebuildable other premades taste and function like crap and yes I still have a handfull of shorty cartos and a few atties and try them every now and then...YUCK!

I found this makes a big difference with 306 attys. => 306 Pyrex Glass Drip Tips

They look really plain but the air chamber in these puppies is huge compared to plastic drip tips. A lot more vapor builds up before it hits your mouth and the result is more flavor. The pyrex drip tips are a bit over 1.5" long and over an inch of that is air chamber. They even make a version for larger diameter Ikenvape IO6 attys.

TheEcig has an ECF coupon code for 10% off so when these are on sale they run about nine bucks. I'll never use a plastic or delrin 306 drip tip again.
