Carto taste

Hey guys and gals
I'm having an issue with cartos I love them to death and Would really enjoy using a tank for out and about vaping but after a few hours of use I always get a weird taste almost like old stale bubble gum or something similar. It happens with any juice I use I'm not sure If cartos just aren't for me or what.
help!

they may just need to be topped off. a few hours of vaping seems a long time to go without refilling. its been a long time since ive used a carto but that would be my guess. is the draw still up to par? and the vapor?
i thought of using cartos and tanks at first but didnt have great success myself so i switched to a bottomfeeder system... the reo. easy to just fill a bottle pop on an atty and get after it all day. you can also use cartos on these if you choose but for flavor and volume i prefer a cisco 306 at 1.5 ohm. as far as cartos go 1.7 resurrectors seem to be a popular choice.

It takes time for the filler material to get soaked when you are using a tank. It maybe also due to the hole on your carto is not big enough to soak the filler effectively

A tank will make a difference but use a dremel and slot them. I don't like the punched version because, to me, the holes that come from the factory are way too small. You could use a sharp nail I suppose and make it bigger but don't distort the form of the carto. I slot mine because some of my juice is thick and the slot allows the juice get into the carto faster. It's simple to do.

Usually, I put 25-30 drops into a new carto first (depending on the size of your carto) and let it settle down for around 10 minutes. Then vape it for 2 times and assemble it into the tank as well as putting the liquid in.
Which carto are you using?
I am using boge 510 XL SR..
