I'm wondering if anyone can help with this..... just received my tank (purple thanks!) and it came with a Boge 3.0 inside with 2 holes.
Personally, I think the holes are a little too high, not close enough to the top of the bottom plug, and juice gets left in the tank. I have to leave it lay on it's side, and even then there's still juice left. I can probably slide the tank itself some to help with that.

Also, I had ordered 2 extra Boge 3.0's pre-drilled. I had thought these would be the same as the Boge that came in the tank, but, they are almost unusable.
I can set them on the battery end on my desk, and the holes look to be in the same place on all three, but the extra 2 have only one hole, and not very good ones at that, and may be slightly lower, but actually are too low. They get covered by the bottom plug, and if I slide the tank itself down to uncover the hole so I don't get burnt taste, it cuts off the air flow.

Now, I like a tighter draw, but it's too tight even for me.

Correction, one of them has only 1 hole, noticeably lower than the one that came in the tank with 2 holes, and is almost unusable as I noted above.
The other one, the hole looks like someone missed the first time and redid it, but the hole is slightly lower than the one that came in the tank, it is just above the bottom plug. I'm about to try this one and see if it vapes any better.......

While we're waiting for it to fill....
I like the tank itself. It's easy to fill, clean, etc. My only complaint is the hole placement on the Boges, and that it fits the carto so closely it's hard to get it screwed tight onto the battery.
The carto that came in the tank with two holes, if they were slightly lower it would be perfect. But I'm not at all impressed with the 2 extra cartos I ordered. I could have just tossed 7 bucks in the trash. And I'm further upset as I have no way of making the holes myself.

And... the second extra we were waiting to fill, slightly lower hole or not, it's just as bad.
Neither of the extras I ordered are usable.
I don't have anything to make a hole, is there a common tool I can use to maybe make the existing hole bigger?

Any help is appreciated.

OH
Well I just made the mistake of googling "silicone plug". don't do it! You don't want to know ........

HA! I went to look on the dicks sporting goods store's website yrs ago when my son was in his early teens. You do not want to leave out "sportinggoods" at the end, especially in front of a giggling teen! Oh, my :)

I had the same issue so I recently started punching my own...try using a tiny screwdriver to make the hole a little bigger ,but be careful if the hole is too big you'll end up with a straw instead of a carto :)

Better yet, buy a steel Stanley nail punch at HD and grind the tip to a good point and buy a small block of hardwood and bore a 510 diameter hole Horizontally across the block about 3/4" beneath the surface and then lineup a small vertical punch hole at the exact spot you want to do the "punch". So you feed the carto into the the little tunnel you drilled, lining it up to the edge of the wood block and then hit the punch very lightly in the punch hole with a small hammer. . For under $10, you have a great punch and jig setup. Ok, so it's a little ambitious I guess:)

On the carto subject, we only do the included carto, Drew has the replacements done. So you would need to bring up those problems with him. From my end, we do use 2 holes with Boges and still think it works better than 1...on Boges only. We do intentionally drill them slightly high of the cap, since alot of people like to slide their tank upward toward the drip-tip as far as it will go to create airflow space under the bottom tank cap, especially on tube mods of nearly the same diameter. For instance, my ProVari gets completely choked by the tank bottom cap if I don't slide it upward. The holes do not need constant access to juice. The carto only wicks what it can hold at any given time anyway. And again, unless you vape at a perfectly upright 0 degree angle, the juice will get to the hole.

Thanks for the reply..... I can try sliding the tank up some with the included carto. Other than the 2 holes being slightly high is my only complaint with the tank. I have found if I slide the tank up enough to get my fat little fingers around the bottom of the carto I can screw it on the battery easier.

Your other suggestion, while a good one, I don't currently have the tools or the budget for tools to do all that.
Plus, I'm rather "tool challenged" LOL

...Drew's 801 is the exact same carto without the fancy name by the way.

'Cuse, is that true? I'd try them, but the drop-down menu on the page appears to mean these are Pre-filled, which--if so--is a deal-killer for me.

If they were blanks, looks to me that there's an opportunity for someone to make a little money catering to lazy vapers. I'd pay a little more for pre-slotted (or pre-dotted, or pre-whatever) Fushions, or their like.

IKV 801 Fusions do fit. Of course you have to punch your holes, but there are many people running Fusions in them. Drew's 801 is the exact same carto without the fancy name by the way. 801 Mega Cartomizers

That is a true statement. Drew's 801's are the same as the Fusions, I have them both. When IKV ran out I contacted Drew about his 801's and he said they were the same, order them/tried them/works great. You can get your 801's from Drew if you want the performance you would expect from the fusion.

Also Drew are you going to be slotting your 801's? Cool let us know when they are ready.
