I do wash out a carto every once and a while. But if a carto develops a funky taste or if the vapor drops way off, I give it a one-way ticket to the trash bin.

I spend to much time now fooling with e-Cigs and DIY reicpes to repack a carto with filler.

The last carto I chucked lasted about 90 days of on and off vaping. Something that costs $2 that lasts for 90 days is enough

Cartos are inexpensive enough to assign one per flavor. And since I rotate
through almost 20 different flavors (usually one per day), one carto will serve
its purpose for a long time. I want to make vaping as easy and
uncomplicated as possible. It is the ONLY way I will be able to give up
pyros completely. Smokies still have it over eCigs in the overall convenience
department. Grab a pack and a lighter and go.

I hear you. I, like many people, started out with carts. I can't tell you how many "mods" or "New Techniques" I tried. Nothing worked on a consistent bases. I was about to give up when I stumbled onto Cartomizers and bigger batteries (eGo).

Now, I have a battery that will last most of the day and a handfull of cartos in tried and true flavors.

Seems like all the headaches of cart mods are now just a bad dream.

For me, I could never go back to analogs. Even with all the e-Cigs I have bought ( Blu, RN4081, Kr808, 510, eGo) and the small labratory of DIY mixing supplies, I have Saved money over analogs at $6.50 a pack.

But even if I wasn't saving money over analogs, I would still do e-Cigs. That is because I feel better.

My chest doesn't pound anymore if I run up three flights of stairs. My teeth don't get stained and my car doesn't smell like an ash tray.

No, I was sick of it after 182,500 analogs, 25 years. It only cost me $36,500 to figure it out but now I know.

I'm not going back to Analogs.

Exactly. This is why I'm sticking to one flavor (mint) that sort of tastes like my old Capri analogs. I keep a bunch of them loaded up and in my carrying case along with two charged batteries and I'm never without and never inconvenienced.

For longer trips, I plan to get the bigger case that holds 4 batts and even more cartos and will mod it to hold some juice as well.
