I have only been using 801 attys for a short time and noticed the other day that when i pulled my cart filler out to replace it, there was some white plastic or rubber stuck to the bottom of the filler material. Is this normal?
Best ecig 's ones have that as well.... thinking about it do I really want to know what it is 8-o Hopefully nothing that dissolves in PG, Menthol, Everclear.....
One more reason to do your own cart filler... my current favorite is Tulle
Oh well, whatever it is STILL 5 kabillion time better than anaogs, I'm sure
While we are on the subject of 801's, it seems like I can take one or two drags off of my 801 atty and then I start to get like a burnt or plastic taste. If I wait a little bit between drags then it seems to be ok but if I take two or three consecutive drags then I get that bad taste. Any suggestions?
sounds like wicking issues hittman, Have you tried any of the alternative cart filler or straw mods? Pyramid Tea Bag mod has helped cure all of my wicking issues on my 510. works great!
I tried the tea bag a few times but didn't have alot of luck with it. Maybe I was doing it wrong. I have heard a couple people mention using fluval. I am not sure what that is but maybe I'll look into it. The regular filler seems to work ok on all of my 510 stuff.

That is a common issue with the true 801 atomizers (high-bridge). Not only do they have that issue, they only last a few weeks. If you switch to the RN4072 version (low-bridge) you will never have that problem again, and your atomizers will last a lot longer.
The longest I ever got out of a true 801 was 3 weeks. The Totally-Wicked RN4072 atomizer I am currently using is over 3 months old and still going strong.
I will definitely order the 4072 attys next time. The ones I have now are from heaven-gifts and honestly since these were my first 801's, I didn't know if they were high bridge or low bridge.
