The flavors are one aspect I held off on making much in the way of alterations to. I knew generally what I was going for on some of the typically popular flavors, but didn't want to spend too much time customizing them until I had more feedback on what the customers want. Menthol in particular is a tough balance between too strong and too weak, and just comes down to a matter of preference. I still haven't had enough feedback to decide which end of the balance to favor, if either. So thanks, your opinion here helps a lot.

So, I thought it might help to have one thread for all of our cartomizer/juice flavor recommendations, requests, and feedback.

As for many others, I have found that it is easier for me to remain off analogs if I have an e-cig that replicates the analog experience as close as possible. The MaxxFusion has come the closest for me in terms of draw and vapor. I smoked Virginal Slims 120’s Menthol Lights and would love to have a menthol flavor that is as close to that as possible. Most menthol cartomizer flavors I have tried are too heavy on the menthol; too minty. What I would really love is a cartomizer/juice that is a mix of the tobacco and menthol flavors of my old analog brand. Of course, I know that is easier said than done.

Thank you Leaford, for giving us the opportunity to give you our suggestions and feedback.

Thanks Slim, great idea!

Just wanted to add my 2 cents about flavors. I have tried well over 100 flavors and I have about a dozen or so I use most. I mix flavors and strengths but by far I use 11 or 12mg now most all the time. The higher nicotine flavors produce less vapor and the lower nicotine flavors don't have the TH and leave me wanting something stronger. Here's many of my regular favorites:

Turkish Menthol
Blueberry Cheesecake
Bear Claw
Cherry
Grape
Waffle
Black Licorice
Peppermint
Blackberry Smoothie
Watermelon
Bottle Top

These flavors are AMAZING.

My favorites are:

PureCig w/menthol from FSUSA - I know that would be hard to replicate, but it's the closest thing to an analog I have found and got me off the analogs 30 days ago!

I also like:

Raspberry
Strawberry
Grape
Watermelon
Bubble Gum
Applewood
Caramel Apple

Gonna order some of Bloog's Grape and Apple soon!

I just received some Maxxfusion flavors yesterday, all in 11 mg strength

Cherry: great amounts of vapor, good throat hit. Tastes like cherry cough medicine (nyquil) to me.

Vanilla: again, big clouds of vapor and good throat hit. Tastes just like vanilla.

Coffee: still tons of vapor, good throat hit but didn't taste anything like coffee to me. I'm not sure what it tasted like, exactly.

Chocolate: I love this flavor...it's dark and rich with lots of vapor and throat hit. It also makes it easy to top off the carts with my all day vape of german chocolate cake. :D

One thing I noticed is that the caps stay on better with this new batch of cartos. I'm thrilled about that!!!

Hi Everyone!

Well, I am going to be sparing of making many flavor changes at a time until I am able to give the task the attention it deserves. But I will at least try to make a few improvements if I can in the meantime. Cherry seems pretty ripe to target for improvement on this next order. And I want to add at least one new flavor, too. One of my usual favorites is on the reccomendations you guys have mentioned in this thread, so since I can't bear to be without it any longer I'll add that one.

Free box of cartomizers to the first person to guess what flavor it is!!

Minutes ago postman delivered my maxxfusion PCC kit. Very cool. The e-cig feels great in the hands (like the finish). Got 2 packs of carts - 555 and coffee.

First the great: AMAZING performance - nice TH, and mountains of vapor with a perfect smooth draw.

My initial impressions on flavors:

the 555 is nice, but not as strong as other vendors. Its got a strong nutty undertone, which i like.
Have to agree with poster above - not sure what the coffee tastes like, but if its coffee its only a slight hint. based on my initial impressions, going to write these off until i can drain them in reload with coffee from another vendor.

As for leaford's mystery flavor - has to be watermelon. Recall seeing a video of his where he mentioned it was his favorite. His work with V4L resulted in an excellent watermelon. Lets hope he can duplicate it for Bloog. That flavor in this cart with this TH and vapor production would be awesome.

My thoughts so far ... the Maxxfusion may be the best performing e-cig unit I've used so far, but the flavors need some work. I'll have to order some Bloog carto blanks and try it with some juices i like from other vendors.

Ok, got it, coffee's on my list now.

As for watermelon, you've got a great memory, and yes I want to duplicate it exactly. But sorry, Slim got it first. ;)

Seasonal flavors would be neat. Eggnog and candy cane for christmas, apple and pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving, and don't forget about St Patty's day.

Cotton candy would probably work well due to the nature of the beast.

Mixed drink flavors would be nice, and I wouldn't mind a whiskey flavor either.

It's funny you should bring up seasonal flavors. I tried doing a holiday flavor sampler pack last year at V4L. One of them became a year round success, but the rest were total bombs, and the Pumpkin Pie goes down as my all time flavor fail to this day.

Pumpkin pie and Key Lime Pie were my two big early lessons on not asking Chinese flavor engineers too much, like duplicating a flavor they've never tasted in their life, without a sample.

Oh, the key lime pie story is another classic tale of chinese/american confusion. Before I joined V4L, they ordered Key Lime Pie carts and bottles. But what they got tasted like peanuts, so they thought it had been misfilled with the wrong liquid. So we reordered, and I checked the bottle labels myself when the liquid was delivered, to make sure it ws Key Lime Pie. But when I tasted it it still tasted like peanuts.

I knew they couldn't have made the same mistake twice, and I suddenly remembered something else. When I was approving the bottle labels I noticed that the Key Lime Pie label had a jar on it. I asked why, and the designer told me it was a jar of Key Lime Pie. Seemed odd, but they put pumpkin pie filling in a can, so what did I know. Now it occured to me to find out what was really in those jars.

I got ahold of copies of the original purchase order to the liquid supplier, and had my translator read it, and she said it said key lime pie. But then she said it in Chinese, doubanjiang, and told me it is a kind of broad bean sauce. She didn't know before that we called it key lime pie in America, and wanted to know what a lime was, and why we called bean sauce a pie?

I tracked down who had translated the order originally and she admitted that she had no idea what a key lime pie was, and wouldn't say how she came up with broad bean sauce as a translation. I think it was her little FU to Steve. ;)

Anyway, the real kicker is that in those days they didn't listen to me as well as they learned to later, so before I could stop it they had completed the cart order. So there's a couple of thousand Broad Bean Sauce carts pobably still lying around.:D :D

This is the greatest post on the Bloogboard yet, the ULTIMATE FACEPALM!
Reminds me of the word "F%$#AROW" from Stephen's King's Dreamcatcher.

I never thought that Egg Nog or Pumpkin Pie from V4L tasted any good or anything like their names. The Lemon-Lime was a bit better though...

... Whatcha vapin' dude?
... Oh, it's Broad Bean Sauce, wanna hit?
... Um, no thanks brother!

Broad Bean flavor...I wonder if that's anything like Pork & Beans or Baked Beans...Would anyone want to smoke a flavor like that? I suppose you could go for a down home BBQ flavor. Smoked brisket with a side of Mac & Cheese and Cole Slaw e-liquid might be nice. And don't forget about BBQ Rib flavor....

Too funny. When I don't understand something, I usually ask someone for clarification.

BTW, who is Steve and what did Steve do to this flavor engineer?
