Hey Sherid thanks for the info, I'm intrigued.

I use Kr808d cartos on my ego with an adapter and love it. If you peel the stickers off, they fit under the cover and airflow is perfect imo. Also looks rad and makes it even more compact than the stock ego. I'll post pics if anybody wants to see.

Have you tried the new 808b cartos on the ego, since it is a 510 thread? Thats why I'm interested in them so I would love to hear back on this.

How do they compare size-wise to a 510 atty/cart or 808d carto? Do they hold more liquid than the 808d?

The Soft Cartomizers from LeCig work on the 510. And they do work. They last about as long as a normal 510 cart and they are refillable. They are built similar to the KR808D-1 cartos but smaller and have a soft sleeve that goes over the tube to make it seem like a real cig. The end cap is the same type as the KR808D-1, just smaller.

Bottom line, they are cute, different, work well, are refillable and last about the same as a reg 510 cart.

One note though, if you have a moist mouth the foam sleeve does get soggy. Oh and for the person that asked, only the sleeve is soft, the main tube is metal so you can't chew on it and sqeeze juice out.

Hope this helps.

That does help and thanks, BUT what is the model number?

Sorry that part I can not help with. I don't recall any model number, but I threw the box out and the wrappers don't say anything but the flavor and strength. You can try sending a message to Mike at LeCig. That is where I purchased them from. The only thing the receipt says is
LeCig 808A-B or 510 Soft Cartomizers - Tobacco 11mg

Sorry I can not be of more help that way.

Just tried the 808b on the EGO and love it I don't know about the amount of liquid yet. How do you get the stickers off the reg. carts? I would like to try that but don't want to ruin one in the experiment.

Sherid: I just find the edge where it overlaps itself and peel it off like any other sticker. If I get a tough one I score it with a razor first. It's actually kind of a pain because the ones I have leave a sticky residue behind that I have to clean off with rubbing alcohol. But I think its worth it. I'm trying to remember where I saw blank cartos without the stickers for sale.

WhichWay: Good to know, thanks! I'll stick with 808ds since their compact capacity is one of the biggest reasons I like em.

I got the soft cartos just to see what they were like. They're too small for me. I switched from a 510 cart to the 808d cartos in the first place because they held more and I don't have to mess with them as often. So I'm sticking to the 808d, but the soft ones are cute and do have their place for some people I'm sure, just not me.

I've read this entire thread, and I'm sorry, but did I miss the final verdict on these cartomizers? How do they perform?

I already know they don't hold as much liquid as the KR808D-1, which is fine (I have a Vapor King).

I want to know if they provide a solid, consistent vape. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that if this is true...

The soft carts will work with any super mini that is 8.5 or 8.6mm in diameter and has a 510 thread, i.e.; the 808A or 808B.

...then these super mini cartomizers will also fit on my Volcano (an L88B, like a Blu, at 8.5mm diameter). As everyone knows, these models have issues when it comes to vapor production, but I do like my Volcano. So if these mini cartomizers perform like the cartomizers on my Vapor King, I'll be thrilled!

(Well, I'll be thrilled when they eventually come out with zero nic... has anyone seen these anywhere else with 0mg??)

Yeah, Viv, they should fit.

The only things that would make these perfect is if they were solid like the 808D's and were black. If they were solid (minus the foam), they would hold a lot more liquid. LeCig said he is going to give those two ideas to the R&D team, so I hope that gets done. If so, I'll be so buying the hell out of them.

I've read on another forum that these have the same size heating element as the 808D cartos. So from guessing, I would say the performance would be on par with them.

LeCig has them in 0 nic.

Nobody says how well the cartomizers produce vapor.

I just got some. :)

They really are kind of neat. They are not vapor machines but that's okay since I'm not really into clouds. They seem comparable to my regular 510 carts and atty. I'm not sure how the vapor production would change if they were refilled with a better e-liquid. They do sizzle nicely.

The ones I have are menthol. They carry their flavor well.

They hold about the same amount of liquid as the regular cartridges. The foam and paper covering can be removed and you are left with a metal tube about a quarter of an inch in diameter. the design internally appears to be similar to the Kr8 cartomizers.

Being able to remove the foam and paper means that you will be able to wash them without getting the exterior all icky. BUT the exterior will probably get icky from sticking it in your mouth. BUT because it is removable you can just flip it over and use the bottom as the top and extend its life. I'm not sure if the foam will hold together when the paper is removed. I will figure that out after one gets icky on both ends. :p

They come packaged in little sealed bags. Since they don't have condoms you really can't just toss them in your pocket and go. The regular 510 cart condoms sort of fit but you would need two for each cartomizer. The Kr8 ones are way too big. I think they would need to be kept in a small plastic bag, pill bottle, or something similar for transport.

I have tried dripping down the side of the tube to refill and it works... but is trickier than when refilling a Kr8. I think dripping into the battery end is easier for these. I have only done it once each way so far so my current opinion is not set in stone.

I think they will be a nice alternative. Since they are cartomizers and intended to be disposable they would be great for trips and the like when you don't have full access to your stash of backup atties.

I wasn't a cigarette biter, but I did try to bite on these. They are very comfortable on my teeth. And the paper kind of sticks to my lips sometimes. Ah! Just like the old days! ;)

For the past couple of hours they have performed well. I have refilled one a couple of times and it seems to vape until it is empty. The filling area is tiny compared to a Kr8, but that is what I was expecting.

So my conclusion is that they are definitely worth trying. I think I will keep some on hand.

:)

LeCig has them in 0 nic.

Yes, because I asked for them! :D (I guess I should've come back with that update) On Sat. Jan. 30th, I asked them if they would consider carrying zero nic... they said sure, check back in a week, and then 2 business days later, on Tues. Feb. 2nd, they had 0mg on the website! Talk about customer service! (Thanks, LeCig!) Now, I'm actually still waiting for my order, but I got caught by the Chinese New Year, so I'm still anxious to try them.

But until then, thanks for that great review, Guineahill! I actually plan on using them on my Volcano... so, while I don't expect it to perform as well as my KR8, I am hoping (expecting, really) for much better consistency over my Volcano pre-filled carts. Thanks for the reports on the refilling too... please keep me informed if you have any further updates! :)
