CARTOMIZERS: Just Don't do it...

That's okay though. We all find what we like. I like my cartos. 1 ml slims on my Sidesho and 3 ml Echomizers on my Echo.
I think clearos are horrible.

I feel bad for people trying new things that end up hating them.
I honestly haven't tried one thing that I absolutely hated in vaping.
Everything has a learning curve, but, everything works.. and works well once you figure it out.

That Is one of the first videos I ever watched in reference to vaping and can attest to the method. Im sure the poster will see cartos as a viable option if each step outlined in the video is followed

I just do not think that I will ever become a 'Cartomanic'.
Sure- like alot of things...they 'look good', small-sexy and sweet, but...
I just do not have the desire to sit there and S.L.O.O.O...W.L...Y fill polyester filling with juice...only to do it- again, in twenty minutes.
I want to put the juice in a tank-put a fire to it and VAPE ON !
Don't know how people converted to vaping with these things...
I would have gone to eating my 'bacco' if I were stuck using them !

See, if you wanna use cartos, you must BE the cartos. You have to learn how they work.
If you FLOOD the cartomizer, your going to restrict airflow and burn the material around the coils.
If you UNDERfill your carto, your going to burn the material around the coils.
I personally recommend the condom fill method, SLOOOW fill, and then let it sit for 10 minutes.
The condom method is where you take 1 of the end condoms that comes on the carto..
Fill it up with some juice, and push the battery end of the carto into the condom, SLOWLY!
Then let it sit for a while.

I use Boge 2.0 cartos... plain, no tank... no leaks, good TH, good vapor, good taste...... condom fill followed by about 15 drops when half empty Your experience sounds over-the-top odd to me. Check out PBusardo, last I check they're still one of his favorites... his site is "tasteyourjuice."
Dude, accept my advice. Don't do the condom fill method. Try this method of top filling in the link I'm providing. It's for prefilling a carto for a cartotank, but its the same method. There's even a video demonstration.
My method take 5 minutes tops, and is ready to vape immediately. No waiting. No flooding. No dry hits. Just great flavor and vapor.
There's too many people who are using cartomizers and cartotanks successfully for it to not to be you and your technique. Have an open mind and you may just find your new perfect system of vaping.

When I started in with cartomizers I immediately understood without being told they needed filled from the bottom. Where is the coil? The bottom of the carto so before even trying to fill I headed to Rural King and bought a syringe and a couple needles. I filled the first carto from the bottom up and it vaped great. Since then I have used cartos and cartos in tanks and except for a few bad carto I have had virtually no problems, for me they work well and the flavor with some juices may be slightly muted but with most it is fine.
And remember, different cartos look different on the inside. A center coil looks and vapes differently than a vertical coil.
And an Echomizer can even be disasembled, cleaned an re-built. You can re-coil them as well if you're so inclined.

Used to use Smoketeck LR 1.7 XL single coil. Got myself a 16 gage syringe & filled them up using the measuring on the side of the syringe. Let it soak while I slept. First thing in the morning...nicest vape ever.
Now I use the super shorty cartomizers with my Reo bottom feeder. I just drip exactly 15 drops into it. Put it on the Reo & vape away. Even better.
As they say here at ECF, "whatever keeps you off the stinkies is the best setup".

Ditto with Patkin.I've used clearos, vivi novas,RBAs,and tanks,but for ease of use and a decent quality vape for the price its hard to beat a Boge lr carto.
Also try starting at 3.7volts or less, and take short small puffs until it's hitting well.
What are the numbers, Vets? 40 drops for the small cartos, 70 for the XL's?

Sorry to hear you're not having success. I recently switched to carto tanks with very little problems. I followed Baditude's blog instructions. Hope you find what works best for you!
