It is unfortunate that many vendors to not list their mfrs. Many have started though, but far too many have not. Liquid express sell the SLB as well yet, no one would know.

WRT the other carts out there, god only knows where they come from. I have some KR8s which I am not too fussy about. They do give off a taste that I am not fussy with and waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too harsh at 6V, where many use them. The flavour OTOH is very much more pronounced, especially on the eGo.

How can you tell the difference?

sky, the 510 SLBs seem to have gold threads and the Boge 510s have silver threads. That is the easiest way I've seen to tell them apart. Once you have them if you look inside, the SLBs do not have a wire up through the center and the Boge ones do. Hope this helps!

Happy vaping!!

...snip... Recipe - Buttery nipple - E-Cigarette Forum

If the nic is to high reduce it with PG, as the remaining ingredients are important for hemoginy. This liquid is great in carts, dripped and will go marvelously well in cartos. I can't wait to get mine. This is best vaped after 2-3 days of sitting where it really has time to mature. After a week, it is well into it's own. Num, num.

PGA = Pure Grain Alcohol 190 Proof.

Flavours Flavour Art Butterscotch and Capella Irish Cream

Sorry I have been absent for a few days but work and home are keeping me busy. Good news is we bought the kiddo her first car!! That was a very long day on Saturday LOL, but it's done now and she has a brand new Alarm Red Nissan Versa.

So to the point :) Switched and I made a trade. I sent him some of the cartos to try (don't know if he got them yet or not) and he sent me some of his Buttery Nipple juice (see recipe above). Thank you again for trading! This juice is amazing!!!!!! Anybody into DIY needs to try this recipe. Heck I might even give it a shot though I failed miserably at my first attempt at DIY. And yes I am using it in one of the 510 cartos and it is absolutely wonderful!!

Ok off to find out where to buy the flavorings!! Happy Vaping!!

Hello, everybody. Time for my report. I have just taken apart my first SLB 510 cartomizer, sent to me by WitchWay, and I'm happy to report that my findings mirror hers (earlier in this thread). No burning whatsoever in the filler, just some blackened goo on the coil itself, caramelized juice residue undoubtedly. I used that carto for three days, refilling frequently as needed, or maybe even more often than needed. I'm a bit paranoid about the burning issue. The draw on that carto is different from the draw on kr8s, no pop and crackle and sizzle; instead, smoothness and plenty of vapor and nice taste. I put about 3 ml of juice through that carto, I'm estimating here, before I started noticing some sluggishness and off taste. I stopped vaping at that point and performed the autopsy. All good.

I wonder if they are washable at all. I didn't care for that gunk on the coil, but didn't dare to give it a wash. Has anybody tried it yet? I've had no problems rinsing my kr8s under boiling water and drying them well afterwards. I don't do it frequently; but once in a while when I get a carto that works exceptionally well, I try to refresh it and use it again.

This is one good cartomizer, IMHO. I will probably be ordering some more. And Isaac has such a nice selection of different colors available! I think I'll get some in baby doll pink, I don't know, maybe I'll also get some powder pink ones, although those pinkish ones look really nice, too. HINT HINT HINT!!!!!

Hmmm... pink? Yeah... Isaac, could we get some in fuchsia?

Well being from the Great White North it has to come by sled dog team vs the pony express :( Being we are headed into summer and Canada Post has not retrofitted their sleds to wheels yet, it makes delivery kinda sluggish, if ya catch my drift.

Glad you are liking it WWay, I had a feeling you would :D DIY is rather easy, if you measure and not eye ball like many do. Good luck! I am sure you'll do fine :)

Great review Katya!! I haven't tried washing one out and probably won't. With the design the way it is, I can see it might be hard to get them dried out again. Blowing through them is not going to get the wetness from below tube level. At least that is how it looks to me. Besides I'm way too lazy to wash out cartos LOL I'm happy if I can get 3-4 days from one. Lately I have been getting a week, but haven't been using them as heavily either.

I have found on attys, I've taken lots of those apart too. I just love taking things apart :) Any way I found the gunk builds on any coil, no matter what. Some juices may do it more than others though. I have tried all sorts of cleaning methods just to see how they work and the only thing that actually gets that gunk off is dry burning. DO NOT dry burn a carto as it will burn the filler!! So that leaves that solution out. That's not any real help, sorry, but it's all I have :)

Those sleds need roller blades for summer use! Your feeling was right on, I love it! Been using it sparingly until I get the flavors. Found the butterscotch from Freedom Smokes, but didn't have time to track down the Irish Cream yet.

Did anybody try it at 6V and what is the result in terms of burning taste?
Also what is the ohm rating of these carto's?

thxs for the reply!

Personally I would not use any carto at 6 volts, they are really not made for it. Keep in mind you have a hot coil with material closely wrapped around it. Too much heat and it's going to burn no matter what. 6 volts is just too much heat for that setup. The ohm rating on the SLB 510 cartos is 3.0.

There are people having luck at 5 volts, but I'm not one of them. My hits are too long and hard. I have enough trouble not burning them at 3.7 volts LOL, but I can do it now! These are the first cartos I can use without burning. I also have been having luck with 4081 cartos as far as burning, but that's another topic all together.

Hey, WWay is back! The forum is back to life. You were missed.
Awwwwww thank you!!!! I miss everybody here!!! I'm back as much as possible. Work is kicking ...., but that's a good thing since I just took on another car payment and need the money LOL so really I'm not complaining, just can't play as much. I'll post when I can :)

Well the sled dog team showed up today. No wonder it took so long, Canada Post has still not retrofitted their sleds for summer.

I am not a carto fan, never was but will be :)

Got my gift from WWay today, all I can say is wow! I have tried the KR8s and was not too fussy with them. They do give off a strange taste, even new, and delicately broken in. (read I know how to vape a carto). I had to go out and low and behold filled one up before leaving using the condom method.

Not all cartos are created equal, that is the sad part, even the vendors are subject to Chinese trickery. But these indeed rock with my daily vape. I do not feel a hot sensation on my lips regardless how hard it is being hit, compared tot the KR8s where the 3rd drag you can feel the heat, an absolute joy on my eGo.

Here's to you Isaac  :toast:

Wway! Wow a New car!! Now thats a graduation present! The Nissan Versa is a really neat car, plus with the nice gas mileage it's an all around good vehicle! I bet she's still beaming everytime she thinks about it. What a great mom!

Mmm My mouth is watering again thinking of buttery nipple :p ! This is the place I used to use for Diy LorAnn Candy Flavoring Oils Great assortment, but the prices have seemed to have gone up since the last visit.

LOL Great job Katya!I wouldn't suspect these causing any problems by washing them with the Kr cart method. If you would like to give it a shot and if something happens, we'll replace it for you. :) I'll look into Fuchsia for you! We have Stainless steel,Green,Black,Red and
White currently in transit and should be arriving this week. I know they're not to feminine sounding, but hey we have lots of pink! LOL

Monty! I always think of Monty Python hehe.
It can be done, but Wway is right on. 6V is just way too much for a cartomizer and really shouldn't be done without question. You see, cartomizerrs of any nature are still meant to be used once and tossed. Through the fragile innards of any cartomizer, 6 volts of power will burn right through it. Later. we figured out how to break the seal on them to re-fill them. Which is not the Best thing to do, because these are still disposable products. We learned that they can last Many many times over if performed with the proper care of maintenance and functionality. Such as 3.7V and weekly to bi-weekly baths.

My 2nd Mom from Wisconsin has used them for over a year and still has active ones from more than 9 months ago, I bet! She uses standard facilitated engineered e-liquid, 3.7V power source. She compiles all of the used cartomizers together, gives them a bath, takes an air compressor to them and then lets them bake in the sun.

Yes sir, Back to what you were saying, I wish suppliers would list the authenticity of their brands too. It's not easy being a consumer these days. Your right on, All cartomizers are indeed not created equally. Through qualities and builds all are different. I understand what you meant about the different taste. I'm not too wild about it either, but it makes due for the sake of convenience of not having to constantly drip and the low price. Just like sipping through a straw, depending what material the straw is made from, it will undoubtedly come out different

I'm back better late than never. Another opinion on the carto - I've been using the pretty in pink color.

By far the best cartomizer yet. I've been using the same one for over a week and i vape a lot. No burnt taste -no musty taste at all. I went and tried one of the Boges and there is a distinct charred taste after a few days. I haven't taken it apart yet but I'm assuming it's burnt inside.

I'm assuming the different filler material is making up a big part of the difference. I also got more vapor with a new one of these than with a new Boge. After a few days of course the vapor isn't as stong as it was originally but its still working pretty good. I tried them on my 5v passthrough and they seem to perform fine again with no burning as far as I can tell. I'll take one apart once it dies to look inside.

I'm sold on them.

Thanks WW. I did want to try out the cart for a good number of days before I decided. It's still working just fine. One thing I am trying is the juice mixture. I usually vape 50pg/50vg but I think filling up the carto with just pg once in a while kind of cleans it inside though I may be wrong.

i remember way back when using 901 atomizers the vg did a job on them and I would need to use pure pg to help them out.

Your right on Zelda. Cycling Pg through atomizers are very good for them. Because of the way the elements cleanly burns away the charred and/or residual pieces that are caused by Vg (ie. burning sugar)

Isaac I just want to make sure that the new cartos are indeed identical to the last ones, pink and black, not the stainless (they were different)? Removable tops, hard or soft, coil instead of wire, holds 25 drops on first fill? Sorry don't mean to be a pain, but I love these things! I have tried all types of cartos lately and these are still my absolute favorite. Just want to make sure they haven't changed before I go on a wild spending spree on cartos :)

And point on your description. If they are the same as the last ones you should not fill them through the battery end, but pop the top and drip down the side. You don't want juice down in the air chamber on the battery end.

Thanks!!! Happy Vaping!!

Hey Wway! I'm almost certain that you can rest assured. I opened them up when they first arrived along side with the original white spotted pink one and they look Identical on the key and both weighed the exact same amount. When I get back from a few needed errands, I'll take some shots for you.

No worries Isaac!! I was having a paranoid day yesterday LOL I trust they are the same. I've already ordered some as a matter of fact :) I will be ordering more to stock pile, but thought I'd let others have a chance at them first

I received my other package today with the new lazer in it, thank you for the quick shipping as usual. I think Val wrote the note, but it might have been you. Either way the Cherry juice is great!! I like both the Strawberry and the Cherry so no worries on being out of the Strawberry and no need to send one when you get the new stuff in. I'm perfectly fine with the Cherry, but again thank you for your fabulous customer service!!!

Thank you Wway! I felt so terrible! It was probably Val. When she comes home the routine is "Hunny? Can you write some stuff for me please?" Because my handwriting is equivalent to a 7 yr old

I thought it read more like Val writes :) LOL I type so much my handwriting is now horrible.

I'm so excited about the different colors on the 510 cartos!! Next week after everybody else has a chance to get some I'm going to go crazy  Like the 100+ cartos I have on hand now aren't enough. I was having a terrible time with my attys all leaking, likely due to the juice being too thick, but I got frustrated and put cartos on everything. Now I've gotten use to them and they are easier, I've been sticking with them. I'm fickle though and next week I'll probably miss the flavor of dripping on the LR 801 and be back to the attys :)

Happy Vaping!!!

My atomizer finally kicked the bucket 3 days ago rip. I started using it around the middle of June and used it amost every day on the Ego and 510 battery and occasionally on a 5volt passthrough. I never once got a burning taste or musty smell. I vape a lot btw.

I pulled it open and amazingly there is not one burnt spot anywhere. I kept it pretty wet - was using 70PG/30 VG most of the time and used only pg in the morning to fill it.

I expected the 5v to singe a little bit but not one burnt spot.:toast:
