What did I do wrong this time

I seem to have ruined 15 cartos,all had only been used once,they were all V4L

I removed the caps,and rings(if they had them)
boiled them for 15 minutes,rinsed
boiled for 15 more minutes,rinsed again,blew out and let them dry for 2 days

I have now filled them all up with the juices we wanted. NONE of them work anymore,a few make the sizzling sound,but only give off warm scented air,absolutely zero vapor. The rest are really,really hard draws and don't do anything else.

What did I do wrong this time?

Sounds like there is too much juice in them. Blow through both ends to extract the excess juice into a tissue, then clean the battery end well.

Thank You,at least one is working again. I have to wait until kids nap before I bring out all my juice to play wtih the rest.
All 15 are functioning now,apparently there was still a ton of water in them even after drying for 2 days.

I dry mine in the oven at lowest heat setting. I warm the oven, cut it off and stick the cleaned cartos in on a cookie sheet. I do this for a couple or three cycles. At the end of that I still let them air dry for a day or more. I've had mixed results but have found the Boge cartomizers perform better for me after cleaning than the SLB's. Boge's generally have siler colored threads at the battery end and the SLB's have gold colored threads. The filler material is quite different between the two as well.

I thought mine had dried out sufficiently but was mistaken - quite badly. After cleaning them I put them in the oven for a while. Then packed them in a bow with a couple of those desiccant gel sachets for 3 days. When I filled one with juice it tasted really bluggghhh! Watery.

I decided to remove the juice using the "reverse" Taryn spin (yes - I am a fan) and got more liquid out than I put in.

I then tried a few of the other cartos (without juice) and still got a range of 1/4 to 1/2 a large condom of water out of them. I ended up doing it to all and they now work OK.

PS. I have now decided not to bother cleaning them until I get desperate. I'm going to just crack out a new one. But I'm lucky as I don't go through them very fast.

Note that you dont really need to dry them completely. I just blow and suck through both ends until no water comes out and then refill with juice. The excess water will evaporate after a minute, it doesn't seem to affect the flavor or vapor imo.

I put mine in a sock, and put the sock in the dryer for 20 minutes. The sock helps them to keep from BANGING around to bad. It works well. Plus, making a mistake is difficult, as the dryer does not get hot enough to cause the cartos to burn.
