So, I decided to get my first carto tank a few weeks back, and with the help of Baditude, and a few others, the experience has been a pleasurable one.

One thing that kept bothering me, however, is that my cartos just didn't seem to be wicking well. I could prime them just fine, but the cartos just did NOT pull from the tank like they were supposed to.

I tried just about everything I could think of, and nothing would get them to stay wet.

I was using pre-punched cartos, with 2, 1mm laser drilled holes. Should have been more than enough for my 50/50 Cinnamon Sugar liquid.

Anyway, I felt like those tiny holes just weren't providing enough surface area (or lack thereof) on the carto for liquid to get through. So I decided to order a 5-pack of laser SLOTTED cartos, from surevapes.com

Here is the link:
Boge 510 LR Stainless (Laser Slotted) - (1 box)

They work PERFECTLY. I ordered BOGE, since that was the same brand I using with the holes, and I wanted to compare the difference between SLOTTED and HOLES without anything else that might effect the outcome (such as using different brands).

So, I wanted to make this thread for anyone who is having trouble keeping your cartos to stay wet. If you haven't already, give the laser slotted a try :) Let me know how it goes!

Also, for anyone who has converted to laser slotted, let me know here too, I'd love to see if my experience has been similar to anyone elses.

Oh, by the way, so far the laser slotted carto is lasting LONGER than the carto with holes.

I record pretty much everything vape related in various documents.....mainly because I like to collect data on vaping, so I have an idea of how much I spend monthly, how much e-liquid I go through, how long my cartos and coils last, how many different e-liquids Ive tried, etc etc.

All of my cartos with holes last about 3-4 days. Might not seem like a long time to most people, but keep in mind I pretty much chain vape from waking until sleep. I figure I get about 6ml-12ml through the carto before I have to replace it.

So far, I'm only on my FIRST laser slotted carto, and I am on Day 5. The carto is JUST NOW starting to lose its flavor, and I can tell I will have to replace it at some point today. I'm guessing I will get about 10-16mL out of it total before I toss it. That isn't bad!

I will update this thread once I go through my second laser slotted carto, to see if these cartos consistency last longer than the ones with holes.

Surevapes' laser-slotted Boges are all I use now with my IBTanked carto tanks. They work very well with the thicker juices I vape. :thumb:

Glad to hear that! I'm glad I tried them out so early on , before I wasted too much time with the ones with laser holes. Considering I'm only vaping 50/50, I didn't really think I would need them....but since it is Cinnamon Sugar, perhaps it is just a thick e-liquid on its own. Either way, the laser slotted ones are working SO MUCH BETTER.....and so far , like I said, it seems they are even lasting longer!

I'm another Boge slotted carto fan. In fact, for me, they have been perform as well as my Ikenvapes cartos at half the price (and far more easily available at Surevapes). Great flavor, excellent feeding (mostly 50/50, but also 70/30), and getting several tanks worth of service before having to swap it out.

Slotted are all I use with unflavored 30/70 juice they last me about 1 1/2 weeks before I have to toss em.

That is so awesome. Wish mine lasted that long, but I think the strong cinnamon sugar flavor I use really wears them down much quicker. I noticed even after a DAY of chain vaping like I do, you can see the cinnamon carmelizing at the top of the filler material. :(

The unflavored is key for longevity almost two weeks on my current carto and not much decline in performance. Guess it is kinda a good thing I could not find a single flavor I liked not even one LOL.

Does the boge slotted cartos work for a pyrex dct? ?? Cause that's the same problem I had to!

The ones linked to in the original post will not because they are too short.

However, these will...
Boge 510 XL LR Stainless (Laser Slotted) - (1 box)

Personally I like to punch my cartos myself. I like the control of how many holes will go into each carto that I prime. Some of my juices only need one hole, but others do better with four. This way I only buy one style of carto and decide how many holes need to go in it depending on the juice I use. Oh, and it's cheaper too.
