Yall are so funny! Thanks for the meals on the cheap tips LOL

PI, I did grow up on a farm in Arkansas...and we did have cows. That's where my love for them started :) I would give almost anything to have a place out in the boonies again, I hate city living!!

I did watch the how to vid and I'm not concerned about slotting my own cartos, it's simple :) I just ordered a couple of the pre slotted boges to get me started using the tank.

Glad to be of service. Nothing better then a meal that cost around 25 cents and only takes 3 minutes to cook! And if you are really feeling fancy you can throw in some cut up hotdog!

I grew up outside of NYC, I do NOT miss the city (I miss a few of the perks, but I can live without them, the trade off is worth it)

The pre-slotted boges you ordered, are they the ones that the set is sold with. I thought I read some where that the cartos that come with it are the 510 boges, but it does not say on their sight.

I didn't like the DC's I tried. I'm not a huge fan of filler. I am hoping that I like the filler better when it is bathing in the liquid and I do not have spend time dripping into the filler to fill it!

You wouldn't happen to know the ohms on the regular and lr 510 boges that come with it? Is there a difference in performance between the 808 and 510. Sorry for all the questions, but rumor has it, you are the boge fan!

This is totally off topic, but does this happen to anyone else, you are lying in bed watching TV and vaping, you fall asleep and when you wake up your PV is gone! I've never fallen asleep with a cigarette in my hand, but I have to say if a PV had a flame I would have burnt the house down 4 or 5 times already. This morning was the 3rd time this week I had to tear the bedding apart to find my PV!

Yup, I'm totally guilty of that. WAY too many times.

After skimming through some of this thread I've decided to order some IKV Gold V2 cartos. I'm curious about a couple of things though.
- The product description of the platinum ones says "They have a tighter woven sleeve with loose surroundings, however they impartial to being accepted on RIVA Units." It's not on the Gold description, so maybe I don't need to worry about it. But what does that mean? (I use a Riva, so am curious).
- What's the difference with a Fusion? Since it's not a 510 connection I'll just stick with Gold, but am still wondering what the deal is with Fusion.
- I'm a new vaper and have only tried one type of carto... some dual coil mega cartos (don't even know the brand). I really like them, but when I tried a thicker juice I kept getting dry hits. (I only tried thicker stuff in one of the cartos, so maybe there was just a problem with that specific one). Since the IKVs have a looser filler material, maybe I'll have better luck using thicker stuff in IKVs?

Moo I didn't go back to the site (or any others) to check for sure, but regular boges are in the 2.8 to 3.2 range, the LRs are 1.8 to 2.0ish I believe. I used to use the 808 regular ohm boges and can't say I noticed a difference. I started vaping with boges a year ago (next month!) and still love them and the Fusions. I could fill them in my sleep LOL

Leo I'm going to let 5C or one of the others answer your questions since I'm mainly only familiar with the Fusions. I can tell you that it is a 510 sized carto built on a 801 base so you would need an adapter...but they are worth it, at least for VV vaping :)

Hiya Jag! Nice to see you peeking in here ;)

I've never used a fusion on a 3.7 volt PV but I have used them at low voltage ranges. There is now a LR fusion too. They are built with the platinum 510 and an 801 base. On the Buzz they put out massive vapor but they are indeed thirsty. The loose filler I think leaves room for more juice. I know the 510 golds, not the V2 golds, are woven very tight and I don't care for that one.
I believe he was saying they work very good on the Riva is why he put it that way. Ikenvape engineers and designs his cartos and attys after listening to people about the vaping experience they are looking for. I'm sure he has one that you will love. I like the fusion best, the v2 gold next, the mega 808 next and the platinum next. I don't use attys but I've tried a few of his and they are great.
If your looking at Boges, and they are good too, notcig sells them I think.

Thanks for the info. I have some Gold v2s on the way. So is the Fusion pretty much just a Platinum on a 801 base, or is there something else different? If they're pretty much the same, I'll give the Platinums a try too.

Well it's built a little different. It's based on the Platinum though. I know it's a very popular carto and it puts out great vapor. Only Isaac knows exactly whats going on under the hood. The Platinums are good but no where as good as the Fusion. I would say if your looking for another great carto the Mega 808 that mrjaguar mentioned is right up there with the V2s. They hold 60 drops.

I got some juice today finally but I also got the tank from Stormy to make a Fusion tank out of so I'm a happy camper. I was using my beta Buzz at Fred Myers today and this guy stopped to talk about it. I told him it was last yrs model and just a beta but he insisted it was the best looking PV he had seen. His partner said that things tight.

Well, I got my Liquinator today and I am beginning to think that my quest to find an atty/carto/tank that I like is not possible. Not because the ones I have tried are not good, but because there is obviously something wrong with me, must be user error.

I followed the directions on the video, filled the tank (which I am happy to say does seem to be leak proof) dripped a little in and vaped. But whatever it was that came out was not the flavor that went in. Instead it tastes like a burnt plastic but not really, I can't really explain the flavor but it is really not good... It is very bad. So I dripped a little more, still awful. Then I waited thinking I would let it soak a little... still bad!

I ordered two LR attys with it, to use now with my 3.7volt Tornadoe Battery and two regular ones to use when the Buzz Pro arrives. I am hoping that the regular attys taste better on my new Buzz Pro. But who knows!

And I now have 3ml of liquid that I am not sure how I am going to get out of there without making a mess as well as my husband logging on to the forum as me to start a new game thread... I was very excited about the liquinator but it has now put me in aVERY poor mood....

Guess I'll email the vendor.

Burnt plastic taste sounds like you've burnt the filler/sleeve in the carto -- and that is a death sentence for a carto no matter how long you let it soak afterwards. It sounds like it wasn't wicking, Moorea. Did you check the slots first? Perhaps there was a sliver of metal blocking the slot not allowing the juice to fill? Or it could be a bum carto (or two). I've had that happen as well. It's not always user error. :)
