I vote the job to mooby. ;)

Personally, I think restarting was the best idea. Things were too far flawed before.

You know though, except for 'big things' you could use the newfound, good voting system to handle votes that affect all members of CASAA... and reserve council for major decisions (since the ones chosen will likely stay slightly more informed than most).

With all these people putting out reviews and pictures, I might just have to bite the proverbial bullet and get a camera set up. I dislike them since I'm more a strong voice, and less photogenic.

OK, I'm not understanding exactly how the results will be monitored, or exactly why they should be monitored. What should be monitored is the info collected besides the votes to assure people aren't registering with multiple addresses and voting multiple times.

There should not be any access to any database containing election results. Reports that run off the data, or queries, but no actual access to the database.

For those of you who don't understand what I just said, it's "tech talk" relating to the security of the election results. For those of you who DO understand what I said, you know why I said it.

Personally, I think the people doing the monitoring should not be nominees. And I certainly don't want to see early results being released in any manner.

I would've accept the offer to run if there was a position open for inducing others into doing things (nagging) position.
It’s been 15+ years since RW was disabled and I’ve learned how to be very persistent. RW says I’m very stubborn---he thinks it’s easier to get a bone out our dog’s jaws. I guess he's right because I coerce, twist arms, blackmail, rant, rave, and stomp my feet to motivate or change things when they don't seem right.

And right now, I'm feeling pretty good about how Webby's got things setup.

I think after some thought I would agree with this.

As I say, I'm comfortable with the way Webby has it setup?
Why, you ask?
Trust. And if you have an issue with the voting process, what are you going to be like when these people start dealing with donations.

I'm sure enough info is, or will be, kept to make everyone accountable.

Folks are voting to decide who is in charge with their money, among other things. While it would be nice to be able to trust anyone, we all know, as well as the voters, that trust is not given it is earned. I think the issues brought up about the vote will help establish trust in voters that the noms are willing to do what is proper. It also shows that who they vote for is not afraid to speak up and take a stand. I think board members will have every right to make a stink about any money spent and where. That is why they were asked to serve.

That said I am happy with the new voting process, and I do find myself wondering do we really need to monitor results as they go? I am not sure I even care to see them until compiled sunday night.

Making a stink is my specialty. ;) We need folks who tell it like it is and not afraid of whatever backlash could come of it.

Our organization has many big league arch enemies, most notably ASH. Perhaps as an organization we can try and convince these organizations to put the rabid dogs back in the cage and work with us.

If not, then they'll have a ...... off cowboy to deal with.8-o But honestly if I am elected, I would put my hat aside (not literally, I still plan on wearing it) and work with the organization and fight for the rights that we have. And that is the right to vape. This country was supposedly founded on Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happieness. So far, our Liberty and Pursuit of Happieness has been striped away. So what is left for them to take? Our LIFE, which they don't give two squirts about. As long as they can cultivate their taxes on you, they really don't care if you live or die.

As long as this carcass is still breathing, I will not stop. Not until the end. That is the promise in which I intend to keep.

Vote Strong! :)

I totally agree with you, Kamanjah. I think Webby probably just wants to make sure there is no sense of impropriety. However, I agree that no nominee should be allowed to monitor the voting results. Monitoring "machinery" is one thing, voting results, like you said, is another.

I agree but if you've spent any time here, you should've got some sense of who you are voting for. I have. But, still, I asked for the nominees to leave a bio which some have which I also considered.
Does this make it fool proof? No, but nothing in this world is.
The one thing I am sure as I possible can be of is that Webby is a pretty trustworthy guy. His past actions and the ones of just lately show he is a patient and trustworthy guy. I’ll say right upfront, I voted for him and a few of the others I voted for, I'm 90% sure they are trustworthy. I trust the few I’m pretty sure of to watch over CASSA for all of us.

If you distrust this process so much, then I advise you not to participate.

And that Gracie, is the last I have to say on that.:)

Have a great and blessed day.
