I've been looking over e-cigs for a while now and there seems to be a lot of contradicting information as far as brands go. After reading the FAQs and other information online, I decided that perhaps I would just ask.

I do smoke analogs casually but I find myself ramping back up to a full out smoker when I smoke an analog because I feel like I've broken my clean streak.

Here's the criteria I've come up wtih:
-The size and look of an analog (to avoid being noticed with an ecig)
-Quality
-Made in America (although I would consider others if they have a good reputation)
-Availability of compatible 0 and low nicotine cartridges
-Large selection of flavors
-Carrying case/pack
-As close to an analog smoking feel as possible

That's about it. Basically just an ecig replacement for my camels when I occassionally smoke.

Also, do they make flavorless cartridges? If it were possible I think I would like the flavorless/0 nicotine cartridges if they were available.

Anyone know of brands/kits that might fit this criteria?

Thanks in advance guys.

You might try a few of the disposables carried in retail stores to see how you like those then look at their next line up.

Personally I moved way past the analog look alike within about 4 days after using a disposable blu cig from Walgreen's.
Good Luck. People will look at you less funny with a e-cig than they do with a regular cig.... been my experience.

That was an interesting point but I believe you are right. I used to use analogs when paddling for about a year and non smokers almost everybody would prefer to see me with my e-cigs.

To the OP's question, Vapor King would have the best selection of flavors with pre filled carts. You can choose the amount of nicotine with any good vendor.

Moorted is right, pretty much everything is made in China...

Check out: Vapeshot (they do the best at looking like a real cig)

Blu (they have more flavors, but have gone with a Blu glowing tip and their colors don't match a real cig with the cartos. They basically focus on marketing to sell their stuff:glare:)

maybe V4L (Good selection, not a real good job at having something that looks like a cig pack)

To get zero nicotine, you're going to have to fill your own cartridges. It's not a difficult thing to do, just drip drops into a cartridge.

Nice looking small pv with pcc/carrying case- I would check out Vapor 4 Life, Volt from Smokeless Image, Halo. All make a nice KR808 with a pcc.

Mini's are expensive though. The whole set up is going to cost more than a big battery cig.

I got this kit for my nephew- it's a 510 with a pcc

If you check the Suppliers section, one of the suppliers has a 510 fs kit for $19.99. Keep in mind though that the FS 510 battery are reverse polarity and cant be charged on any charger except the one that comes with it.

If you're going to go with small batteries and you always want a battery ready you will need at least 3 batteries..if you're a heavy smoker you might need more..although it's fine to buy a 2 battery kit but if you like it get more..if not try another. If you go with XL slim batteries you might get away with 2 but 3 is best..I have 6 batteries 3 XL autos 510's 3 manual eGo style so I always have a couple fully charged ready to go...

Tasty Vapors sells what they call Doublers. He has them in all the flavors he offers and they are 0 nic.....The bad news is that they are only available in 4 oz which would be 4 30ml bottles so you will have to find your daily vape before making a purchase, but it would be very cost effective. Most juice vendors also offer a choice of 0 nic for their ejuices, but I think only in the 30ml size. If you want unflavored, you will probably have to DIY. I frequently vape unflavored DIY as well as light fruit flavors, also DIY.

You can use refillable cartridges, or cartos with any ejuice, depending on which PV you decide on. Longer battery life is always a better choice in PVs.

Thanks for the quick and very useful information! I do think that I will be purchasing one now that I have some direct input.

So is the 510 model what I should be looking at? I have seen many sources of information suggesting the 901 (or 910 maybe) and like a kr 8808 or something. I have no idea what the models mean.

The numbers are more about the connector style than anything else..510 is the most popular and easy to find parts for. The only thing is it would be hard to find a 510 that is in the colors of a real cig..usually they are black.

After much consideration and advice, I think I'm going to pass on the analog look-a-like. I had originally wanted it so that I could smoke it and my family members not notice, and thereby getting them to try it because it didn't look like an ecig. But after the initial shock it might not do what I hope it will. Hopefully the device itself will be enough.

Putting looks aside, are there any reknown 510s with a good battery life?

Checkout Madvapes they have competitive prices, good customer service and shipping. Go to the kits link on the left side of the page..look in 510 and eGo kits..eGo's are bigger 900mah (milliamp hour) and have great battery life plus a 510 connector..but if you prefer a slimier e cig look for 510's mega kits or the ones with the 280mah or bigger batteries.

But there is nothing wrong with buying the 180mah kits either but they have a shorter battery life..it's where I got started on there site and they lasted a few months. I would look around the site..go to the TopVapor section checkout the flavors and maybe buy some smaller bottles and try them..they have a big selection and you can get from 0 nic to 36mg.

After looking through the suggested websites I'm lost on one fact. Do all starter kits come as a 510 model? For example, V4L and smokeless iamge give me great options, but it doesn't specify what model the ecig is.

V4L and smokelessimage Volt are KR808. If you don't mind a cigar size device, try the Kgo from hoosierecigsupply (just google it). Paired it with 1.7ohm XL cartomizers (get them at the same seller). the Kgo are 510 threaded device, you won't regret it.

Sent from my mind using my fingers.

So I ended up buying a V2 from a local shop. I've had it for about 24 hours now and I'm returning it for an ego that I've already tried out. I was showing mine to a professor I work with and she whipped out her ego and let me try it. I don't know exactly what it is, but it just felt a lot better. I also got a few flavors from the store, but I also purchased a 4mg cola and 0mg Dr. Pepper from V4L.

It's not that I don't like the V2 but, as many predicted, I don't care for the cigarette-shape. It just doesn't hold quite right. I also don't like the automatic battery. I thought the automatic would make it seem easier, but to be honest, I don't like refilling cartos and having to avoid the "hole." I also hate, HATE taking apart my V2 every time I want to put it in the case. It is quite annoying.

Thanks for the help everyone. Any new person reading this, I'd suggest going to a shop and doing it by trial and error. Or order online from a store that will allow you to return your product.
