Catch of the day coming!

Since we started KBV we always wanted to do a weekly flavor special called "catch of the day" in keeping with the KBV theme. After next week we will try to incorporate that barring anything unforeseen medical wise after my appointments with the specialists.

I didn't want to start with this one because I know many have stocked up on it already, but choosing a time when they haven't would be hard So after a PBusardo Review of the Gooey Butter showdown I don't see any other choice to start things off

We will probably search for video reviews to accompany the "catch of the day" so if you haven't tried that particular flavor you can get someone else take on it. Also, feel free to add video reviews to this thread and we'll use it for that as well.

I know KBV is a reputable vendor, and having never tasted the real cake myself I'm just hanging on the word, so to say, but does flavor possibly contain diketones? Apologies if it's been answered elsewhere.

Hi, I'm glad you are happy with the flavors and understand your concern This is certainly a valid concern and one we have addressed several times but seems to get buried so maybe at some point I will combine some sticky threads and create a FAQ that addresses these type issues.

Our Gooey Better Cake is indeed made to simulate the taste of an St. Louis Gooey Butter cake but it's a play on words of Betty Crocker. In truth the only real butter in a Gooey Butter Cake is the crust, it is more of a sweet cream cheese cake with powdered sugar. Without tipping our cap too much we use flavorings from 4 different vendors in that recipe, 3 which claim to be free of the "D"s. The only one that isn't is TPA and we have a very good working relationship with Linda and are using some of the newer flavorings that are described as Diacetyl free in this.

Now like you depend on us to relay information to you, we are in much the same position from our flavoring vendors, we take their word or posted information for their claims. I personally vape this everyday and I can see where some perceive it as butter flavor but knowing the recipe I guess changes my perception and I don't really taste butter. The more important fact is there are no custards nor do I taste any custard notes.

Now having said all that can I say with 100% fact that it completely free from them? No, I can't, I can only assure you that we take the information provided to us and use that which every vendor that has not undergone testing can do. I can also tell you that we do plan to start having our liquids tested once we recover our initial investment and are able to do so. We have our customers health and safety at the forefront of our decisions and always will as we vape what we sell and stopped smoking to improve the quality and longevity of our lives.

Oh believe you me, I understand. I'm falling apart too. Thanks to years of sports during my school years I sound like a bowl of rice crispies now. Having my own back issues to contend with. - I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you for sure.

There is also a thread here on the forums with the same debate but it's between the 5 GBC's out there and of course I had to put my in. I definitely agree that KBV does have the best Gooey better cake anywhere and the name is quite fitting. I've tried the 4 out of 5 and yours really is the best. Can't wait to get it as the 'catch of the week". I think that is a great idea as well as a great flavor to start with. I will let them know over there where the GBC are being discussed that you guys will be having that so those who haven't experienced the best yet, can try it too. It's my husband's all day vape and top on my list of favs too. Truly outstanding.

Edit: Was just thinking, I would like to see the bait a samples come back. Although I wasn't around when you had them, that would be a great way to try new flavors that I might not have otherwise thought of ordering. I've been very surprised by ones I thought I'd like that I don't and vice versa. I'm sure it's probably a lot more added work as well as expense but I'd even be willing to pay just a tad more on each bottle to try something new inn like a 3ML sample. Just a thought.
