Built my Bonsai and I must say, it's one of the easiest to build. This one I did twisted 28, 5wraps, 2.5mm and came out to .32 ohms. The flavor out of this is super, and great vapor production. Airflow and performance is on par with the Derringer. I haven't figured out those splatter shields, but I'm using the smaller built in tip and it works so nice. I haven't rebuilt my REMatty as it is working really nice right now. I will rebuild and go up to .3 ohms as well using the twisted 28. The spitting I was initially getting from the Remmy seems to have settled down and all is good!
I tried both the colanders. The regular drip tip gives off the best flavor to me. I leave the air slots wide open too.

It seems that this tip is the best. The others, I don't know, it would be live vaping a tailpipe, I think. This one is a flavor machine for me. I also leave the air open all the way.

Let stop obsessing about the REMatty, shall we folks? They can't all be diamonds... Lesson learned. I love my C.A.M. Rogue and can't wait for my C.A.M. Derringer. This is what life is like on the bleeding edge. Many thanks to Tom for letting me move out here on the brave new frontier.

Besides, this little jewel has my eye right now (shiny :)):

What do you think, Tom? Is this gem likely to be squonkable? Fixed center post - is that good or bad? I just ordered two - designs this innovative deserve my love. Squonk or not, I can't wait to get my sweaty little paws on it. That build deck...

I had worked it out with avid to carry the Velocity but they weren't available in wholesale quantities at release so I ordered 2 at retail. They are a very well made atty, definitely up,there in build quality with the authentic Marquis. If you loved the rogue's air flow but found yourself looking for even more air and the ability to use nickel or Ti wire with ease the Velocity is awesome. For flavor junkies the Velocity should be considered a pass. These will, have a BF pin available from avid someday. (The other reason I didn't grab them). I'm sure I can still get them, I,will probably order 10 of them along with the next 20 Marquis authentics.

Thanks for the reply, Tom. I am definitely in for a Velocity if you decide to do a build.

Hi Tom,
Are Hornets close enough to begin paying?

(Will I fit in one $6 box?)
Cheers
Izan

Email, address is correct. However I don't have them in hand yet so they are not eligible for payment yet. That and I was buried with orders last week and I'm still trying to get a few out. I had my best friend in the world come help me disassemble a ton of clones while I drilled/milled/ cleaned/converted a huge number of clones so I can focus on the derringers. The Derringers will not be eligable for payment until Monday.

Btw if your order contained a Bonsai, Haze or Hellboy from mid to late last week your attys(s) will ship Monday. I shipped all the orders that didn't contain those 2 attys yesterday. I'm trying to get back to the way it used to be, attys arrive, attys converted as soon as they arrive, then they are released. I have been converting to order lately but it's causing delays due to the number of different attys I currently offer.

Back to your actual question... I will have the hornets Monday but I'm only boxing them and sending them back out. I will be drilling top caps on a few of them but those may be delayed a day or 2. With the upcoming tandem Derringer/hornet run you guys must be diligent about sending your emails (not PMs) immediately after your PayPal. That email must contain the following: your ecf screen name, your actual (God/mother/slave name that is on your PayPal account, even if it's your wife's name) and your order. (Ie: Chowderhead1972, Douglas, 3 hornets, 4 Derringers, 1/16" air for the hornets, and my actual address). ***very important**** if you want me to send to a different address than your PayPal address pay f&f so I don't even see your PayPal address. If I see your PayPal address, that's where your stuff is going, period. Your domestic affairs are none of my concern nor business. Please understand that I write 200 plus labels a week and I just can't keep track of who's wife will be angry if........ I personally have always found honesty to be the very best policy especially when dealing with domestic issues with your spouse, that said I also realize some people are impossible and/or unreasonable. I have considered sending packs of cigarettes along with your order so you can ask as you open the box: And look at him/her and ask what would you rather I keep? I'm sure most of them would see their way clear to stop screaming..... Just a thought...

Sorry for turning your question into "The State of The Catfish Address" but I just need you guys to know I'm doing my best but I can only spit out so many attys at a time.

Chowder doesn't send emails when atty's ship... They ship USPS priority.. If you want to track your package, go to USPS site and create a MyUSPS account... The package coming from MD will be from chowder

Brilliant! The sheer number of tracking makes me sending them a nightmare. I'm so glad there is another option.
Thanks Digital.

Rebuilt the REM again to try and get a higher ohm, dual 32awg NI200 @ 10 wraps 2.5mm and 0.20 ohms. Very wet and lots of flavor (finally). Had some problems building this because I kept on cutting the wire with the neg screw.

Now you're just showing off.... Nickel on a Remm? Perhaps I should have the Sloth send YOU one to coil... All of mine are already on the way to your house. Coil them the same way please. There's only about 40 attys to coil... You should be good right? Can I expect them back by Friday? Lol.

Tom did you ever consider posting build videos for atty's like this Rem? It might help out a few ppl and obviously save on postage and time ! I usually turn to YT and I would have already but I didn't jump on this atty and haven't looked ... Yet!

I just don't have the time for those Shenanigans... As I mentioned, I had help yesterday/ this morning he dissasembled and reassembled and I drilled and ran the ultrasonic cleaner for 12 hours each (6pm- 6am) I still don't have half of my stock ready to ship. We converted about 100 attys last night. I finally got some sleep 8am- noon and now I'm back at it. I can't deny the money is great but this is life consuming. I forgot to eat yesterday.....

And bottom feed isn't really mainstream until Aspire or Kanger do it. But it could happen... maybe.
Poppycock! Why must you blaspheme in this temple? The lady at the post office and I know just how mainstream this has become. My son has resorted to making dinner and homework appointments with me. If this isn't mainstream enough I will have to hire a few people.

Had to do a little ordering from Mcmaster-Carr for another project and thought these looked kind of interesting for those that my be having problems with the REM's.

McMaster-Carr

EDIT: for some reason it wont let me link directly to the page but what I was looking at are the "Extended Dog" set screws on the right. They are available in 1/8 4-40's as well.
