So on this page we have 2 perfumy grapes and 2 great tasting grapes,same batch,sounds like people have different tastes,how can that be fixed??

How can you be certain that they are from the same batch? Is grape a brand new flavor? Does V4L entirely clear out existing inventory before selling new stock? That would make a big difference in narrowing the problem down. I was inclined to believe that a bad batch of perfumed juice was mixed into the juices that folks here have raved about. Hmm.

It's hard to say if the batches were the same or not - I guess only Steve could answer that one. My 18mg carts were fine, as was my 5ml Low Grape as well as the 20ml 11mg I just recieved. I wish there was an easier way for those of us who don't have a problem with a flavor to try out someone else's to see if it is just personal taste, or if there is in fact something wrong with the carts and/or juices....

I just received an order today which contained the new cherries jubilee flavor and also pear, so I tried them out right away. I am happy to report that they are both excellent, no hint of the perfume taste I had found in some of the other fruit flavors.

I'm home now so can provide a few more details. Here is what I received on my order:

Menthol 0mg 20ml VERY strong perfumy taste
Menthol 6mg 20ml VERY strong perfumy taste
Green Apple 0mg 20ml VERY strong perfumy taste
Grape 0mg 5ml Good
Pineapple 0mg 5ml Perfumy and also burns my mouth/throat
Coconut 6mg 5ml Good
Pina Colada 6mg 5ml Perfumy and also burns my mouth/throat
Pear 6mg 5ml Good

I don't know if that helps at all.

Also, I am using the flavors in new, empty carts on an njoy NCIG. I received my order about 2 weeks ago and I did not contact anyone from V4L. I just figured that was the way their juice was supposed to taste and crossed them off my supplier list.

Im not certain,but usually when new stuff comes in,the old is put on sale.Since most people just got this perfumey stuff and others just received great stuff,I ASSUMED it was the same,or 1 batch.seems kinda logical to me.

FWIW, the perfumey cartos I received were sent to me in early October (more than a month and a half ago).

My own perfumey carts have been on and off since I started. I do agree that this flavor is sickening and highly unacceptable, and I know that Steve, Mark, and Leaford are going to be completely behind us on that.

I'm perfectly confident in them, just placed another order in fact. NEED more goodies! Still a V4 Life-er, I know they'll get it straightened out and that we'll all end up smilin even bigger in the end!

Maybe they need to start putting batch numbers on the stickers to help identify a batch that is off - for flavor, amount of liquid, etc.

I was thinking the same thing. It would certainly avoid a lot of headaches if/when a batch gets screwed up.

ETA: it is also possible the the supplier mixes up batches when shipping. Another reason that batch numbers would come in handy.

Being new myself I am finding that some flavors people swear by I like and some I do not. Taste is a funny thing especially as we are giving up the anologs and those tastes change all the time. Some flavors I LOVE one day and cannot tolerate on others. Other flavors just are not for me but that is all part of the experimenting with something new.

If you think it is a problem with the cartos - contact Steve or Mark directly and they will make it right.

I think most flavors I have tried have a certain sweet cereal taste to it. I ordered a tobacco flavor once that tasted like I was vaping honey nut cheerios. I really dont like that nauseating sweetness.

I've been vaping less than a month and what I've learned is that fruit eliquids don't taste exactly like the flavor they are named after because they contain nicotine. I expected my tobacco carts to taste like the cigs they are named after and was disappointed until I read further and learned it just ain't gonna happen. Now, I know what to expect and am satisfied. Not to say that I settle for perfume, just that it's a totally different taste than cig smoke, and does take some getting used to.

yeah taste is a subjective thing. China e-liquids are commonly accused of tasting "perfumy"..and in fact they use a "food perfume" flavor in several of the flavors..presumably in an attempt to get the flavor to pop..and in fact you can purchase "unflavored" in ranges from "no perfume" to "extra perfume".

I've never noticed it, but then i didn't go looking for it. That's not to say it's not there. I've had no problem with it, flavors that I did not like, I felt I did not like on other grounds LOL!

All this talk is makin me get the urge to make an order...ARGH! BBL, gotta go order :/ Just saw orange juice on clearance..cant pass that up been meaning to try it.

Hi I agree taste is very subjective. for the heck of it I ordered from another supplier (sorry crew) had to do the taste test and the price was cheaper. The strawberry had a perfummy taste too, So I guess some are good some are not so good, I noticed the orange juice cartomizers too., do you think you could give us your opinion of it once you taste it, I love orange juice but being a diabetic dont get to drink too much too often. by the way loved your other reviews

And all 0nic. They were....

Pineapple 0MG
Green Apple 0MG
And Menthol 0MG

They all had a weird burny feel to them and the same perfumy flavor...

The 20ml are older style bottles, different seller. Try the 5ML is my suggestion. I will be more than happy to credit you so you can try
