Pathetic media sensationalizing for the sake of "in your face" news coverage.

It appears the media is no better than the govt organizations with regards to abstracting "partial" facts, not share concrete readings, nor offer any substantial evidence to back their decisions.

I've truly given up on both following or justifying the motives as well as caring what they do at this point. I've found an alternative that "I" feel is right for "ME", and there is now NOTHING, including regulation, that can stop me from obtaining my decision through knowledge now learned regarding making anything and everything myself to achieve it.

Our Canadian government and the United states government are now just like a big time mafia telling us we have to pay for our protection , whilst being screwed left right and center .

They are trying to shut down the hospitals ER in the town that I live becasue they have budget issues , this is a growing area and has been for the last 30yrs and it used to be a full on hospital with maternity and surgery rooms , nope not anymore it is just a shill of what it was ten years ago . These arrogant money hungry politictians should have thought about public health care before giving the overpaid thugs in our area huge raises and bonuses !!!

and the 2010 olympics what a sham billions of dollars that we the tax payer will foot the bill for in the years to come , we are taxed more heavily in BC than all the provinces in Canada and this government can't manage proper health care ,deal with the gang and drug problems but they can tell us what to do !!! I'm just sick to my stomach of what our great nations are turning into . 1984 is now we need to somehow come together and stand up against this absolute tyranny !!

Been a long time since I've read 1984, but as long as the citizens have food in their belly and a roof over their heads, there wont be any sort of uprising. They *might* get vocal and such, but toss 'em a few crumbs and they'll forget for awhile.

Bingo. Personal freedoms can go by the wayside like crazy, it won't be enough to make people stand up. There would only be a few of us waving our E cigs and demanding the right fight people if they break into our houses.

Trying to scare ppl into continuing the status quo, smoking our analogs (except where prohibited, everywhere) with the oodles of analog taxes. I would accually be more conserned if they were regulated in canada... rather than slipping through the cracks, we`d be paying 60$/30ml (5$+55$tax). That being said, cancer-causing scare tactics wont stop ppl vaping, just like it doesnt stop smoking

* Cured meats
* Beer
* Nonfat dry milk
* Tobacco products
* Gastric juices
* Rubber products
* Rubber manufacturing
* Metal industries
* Pesticide production and use
* Certain cosmetics
* Certain chemical manufacturing
It seems every thing is bad for us.

Thanks for the link, which I've had to delete because I haven't posted enough.

It is copy cat coverage but it does give us an opportunity to get some public dialogue going.

There is not enough media exposure up here in the north to raise awareness of the existance of e-cigs and how this choice is silently but surely being denied. Perhaps if enough interest is shown there will be follow-up coverage. Perhaps also, more people will know that e-cigs exist. Disappointingly there are only 22 responses so far.

I have sent the link on to friends in the hope of more responses and I hope more from here will do the same and/or respond. Time allowed to respond is limited.

A public dialogue on something like the CBC is definitely needed for these. If only the media coverage wasn't so biased to start with that is... It is interesting to see that the majority of the comments are in favor of e cigs, or at least in favor of less governmental controls over what are choices are.
