This is just....I have no words. Honestly, as government officials (meaning they work for you and me) who are charged with promoting public health, and who tell lies, without compunction or reservation, that cause demonstrable harm to the thing they make their living supposedly upholding, how do these people sleep at night? How do they look in the mirror? How do they live with themselves knowing the things they say, and the policies they pursue, cause hundreds of thousands of people to die needlessly? How can people be so utterly bereft of basic human decency?

He does deserve it.

I have a nasty tendency to expect some level of reality from doctors. In this particular instance, he's more worried about the hypotheticals than anything else, and blind to the very real positive impacts we talk about here every day.

These are the kind of people to whom I'm referring when I talk about how harshly history is one day going to judge the people who tried to ban and/or demonize e-cigs. Fifty years from now, maybe less, it will not be a matter of debate that this guy and all his like-minded cohorts were the personification of pure evil.
