Yea!

Hopefully this will go a long way toward saving lives.

I was sickened that they weren't being upfront with the public about what was causing the illnesses..I feel that made them complicit in some of these illnesses and deaths..

So hopefully this will help, and these people will stop using this product..

I'll quit vaping my dispensary purchased THC carts when one single illness in Denver can be tied to them. Until then... :vapor:

It does make me happy to see they're reporting about the actual problem now. But then again the damage has already been done, they probably don't see much of a reason to keep blaming e-cigs.

"They don't know what's causing it" my behind. Also from CBS News:

Tests show bootleg marijuana vapes tainted with hydrogen cyanide

CDC knows very well by now what's causing it. All they had to do was to read two fantastic articles by Leafly, quoted extensively here for days...

Journey of a Tainted Vape Cartridge: From China’s Labs to Your Lungs

How to Spot a Fake Vape Cartridge

But they were busy investigating mango flavors.

All I can say is its about flippin time! Maybe now some lives can be saved instead of blaming regular vaping while kids continued to vape tainted thc cartridges.

Too late. They already used it to kill of regular vaping. They're not about to come back and say "My bad, you can have your Mango back again". Or, they can, but as all the small businesses were already driven out, the only ones it'll matter to will be BT.

I agree the damage has been done.

They are not going to bring the flavor discussion back on the table. The were going to outlaw flavors before the lung illnesses came about to "save the children".

Vape supply stores can't survive by selling only "tobacco" flavored e-liquid when 80% plus of vapers use flavors. Shops receive nearly all of their profit by selling e-liquid.

Some of the large online vape stores might be able to survive, unless there is a total ban on vaping, which might still happen.

Asking someone who wants to quit smoking by offering only "tobacco" flavors is like having AA meetings in a bar.

Surprise, surprise. In the New York Times article on details found in research in Illinois and Wisconsin on "Dank Vapes" and other bootleg THC brands,

"Some patients have said they vaped only nicotine, but the Wisconsin researchers found that some patients who made that claim actually had used THC."

The CDC was deliberately foot dragging to scare people. That emboldened the governors. May be CDC is realizing their tactic may backfire, cost them credibility (big time). When the shops go to court asking for an injunction they can say the threat has now been identified so no need for the blanket bans. I expect another argument will be that denying vape products to adults will harm far more people than it will help children pending more evidence and a fair hearing.

The credibility of the governors will crash and burn if injunctions are granted. Pray for divine interventions and competent lawyering.

Dank Vapes, TKO and Other THC Vaping Brands Are Linked to Illnesses, C.D.C. Says

Here's the part I found interesting:

"The new report may not surprise longtime users of THC, who have been warning one another online for months that Dank Vapes and other illicit brands may contain toxins. But some of the online reviewers admit that they have continued vaping those products anyway."

So the proposed flavor ban in Ohio is not happening? Haven't seen any updates.
Dewine is investigating into the details of to do a ban. Ohio vapers have a rally planned for this Tuesday at 11am at the Columbus courthhouse by Ohio Vapor Trade Association. Over 250 planning to attend. I'm going.

What I would really like to see, is criminal prosecution, and conviction of the people behind Dank Vapes etc.... They should be doing looooooong prison sentences.

That’s the thing, there is no one behind Dank Vapes that can be convicted. It is packaging, not a brand. An empty box! You buy a printed package, you use your choice of cart, you use your choice of liquid. Can be legal or illegal.
