Phhh. It's worth reading Farsalinos' logical take on the matter: given that the problem is new, acute and limited to a specific geographical area, the cause must also be new. So if you continue to vape what you've always been vaping you've got nothing to worry about. We already have the Denver Post article showing nothing harmful was found in any of the nicotine products, and that all the evidence points to street drugs, which we don't even count as vaping.

As much as I dislike the thought of joining the Tin Hat Brigade, this whole situation is making me think this campaign is so well coordinated it seems unrealistically convenient.

It strikes me as a very carefully thought out plan to completely destroy the vaping industry, right down to the possibility that the tainted liquids were intentionally released to the streets to facilitate the circumstances that currently prevail.

A false flag operation at it's finest.

Once again a sad news story on "vaping". We all know the bias against nicotine vaping. Siegal has pointed out the flaws in many studies. The method of delivery is not the issue. It is what they are vaping and was it legally purchased. Because they are not separating the system from the actual product there lies the problem. Warnings should be widespread about the dangers of street drugs in vaping devices. 10 M nicotine vapors for 10 years and this never happened.

My theory: Juul has such a premium ...

Teens can spend $1,000 a year on vaping — and the crackdown on Juul is making it more expensive

So, aside from fakes and 'cheap clones', ...

USITC will review Juul investigation in part

'someone' thought they were being smart to cut costs and increase profits by using 'substitute' ingredients. Remember this ...

2008 Chinese milk scandal - Wikipedia

Now, add 'Breaking Bad' wannabe locals along the supply chain and you have a full blown US-only crisis (for now). Btw, I'd be very wary of DIY flavors from the 'Orient'; may contain cheap 'substitute' ingredients.

CDC is full of bull. Millions of people have been vaping for over 10 years and this just now cropped up.....It isn't what the media is making it out to be. This has to do with stuff purchased on the street that nobody knows what is in it.

Mostly not nicotine but there are also counterfeit juul pods and refills floating around on the street. No telling what is in those. I don't use JUUL but a local vape shop owner that I know very well showed me a package of fake JUUL cartridges. They were fairly easy to tell that they were fake but only if you look closely

Those charlatans and their rabid followers pretend that it's too early to implicate Vitamin E acetate and m-products... but not too early to blame all vaping in general, and try to get the products off the market. The hypocrisy is nauseating, and the hidden agenda is bared for all to see.

"CDC says stop vaping".

No. My gp says my lungs are like a newborn's, after vaping 8+ years! No, I won't stop vaping because it isn't harming me.

Now buzz off CDC etc.
The CDC is producing some weird and inconsistent data to back up its claims. They ARE apparently finding teens that are adulterating vape juice or buying black market ejuice which has been adulterated. Apparently well over 100% of their samples in fact. This seems to be the evidence they are using to demand that unadulterated products be stopped.

Just in from the CDC...

450,000+ People Died from Smoking last year. Answer: Quit Smoking.

News at 11:00
I’m working that out to .86 people per minute. So assuming the announcement took 15 minutes, around three times as many people died from what they were promoting merely in the time it took them to say it.
