Well, my previous theory has proved to be incorrect. Doesn't matter WHAT juice I use. After maybe two refills, I get the burnt taste, low vapor, etc. Giving it a gentle squeeze DOES indeed produce air bubbles from the wicks. And that helps. But yeah, having to do that between every drag is a....wait for it....drag! Also, after doing this for about an hour, the clearo started leaking really bad. I don't think it ruined my X2 battery though.

Anyway, I hope we get a solution to this pretty soon. I LOVE the CE3s. When they work, that is.

Have you tried pulling the post up a bit? I think outlaw has a vid on it..

Is it a burnt taste or a dry hit taste?

You mean battery post, right? I have not tried that; I'll look for outlaw's vid and give it a shot. His instructional vids have been quite helpful. I was content to stick with regular old cartos until I watched his vid on the clearos and how to take care of them.

The taste is definitely of the burnt variety.

I think he means the post inside of the CE3 that goes from the coil cup to the top seal. Pulling this up very slightly allows more room for the wicks and air bubbles to escape. If you pull it up too much you can get leaks though. It's trial and error.

Oh. Okay then. I'll definitely have to find Mr.Outlaw's video then, because I don't see how to do that without taking it apart.
There's a law of diminishing returns going on here too. The nerdy part of me wants to make it work just for the experience of tinkering with it. The lazy part of me that just wants to enjoy a vape is giving me dirty looks and telling me to find some other solution until this resolved. Maybe I'll give those T3s or whatever they are a shot.....

I have seen several people mention adjusting the BATTERY post in different forums(already know about the post inside the ce3)-how do you adjust THAT? I have a DOA ce3 and would like to know if there is anything I could do to fiddle with it and make it work.I'd hate to throw it out without trying something.I'm too Scottish! I have already adjusted the inner metal post-no avail-still dead.

If by "DOA" you mean that the coil's not firing and you get no vapor at all then the easist way to trouble shoot is to take an ohm meter and see if you get a good reading (somewhere around 2.5 ohms). If that's the case then you most likely aren't getting a good connection with the battery and carefully raising the post on the battery or the CE3 can make the connection work.

If with the ohm meter you are getting an open circuit then there's not much you can do. It's fried.

To adjust the battery post, the easiest is to take a sewing needle and insert it into the air holes just below the threads and while gently pushing it against the post, lever (push) the needle down. Then do the same from the other side, and make sure the post is straight when done. :)
Just don't move it up too much, maybe 1/16-1/8 maximum.

That IS helpful info! I don't think that's the problem I (or other CE3 users) have been having though. It's got something to do with the internals of the clearo. I just got a new box of CE3s from SI and these look the same as the last ones, except the plastic tank bit is MUCH more clear. I don't know if that's an indicator of anything. But I'll be giving 'em a whirl shortly.
