My new 900mAh eGo will not allow me to tighten any clearo/carto/atty down without turning on/firing before it's even seated. Once it's completely tightened you can't even push the button to stop it from firing. If it's turned off with an clearo/carto/atty on it you can't push the button to turn it on. The only way it works is if the clearo/carto/atty is put on very loosely. What can be done? It seems the pin is set too high. I appreciate any input.

Sounds like a manufacturing defect to me. Is it new, or did it start doing this after some use?

Hmmmm. It sounds like it shouldn't be trusted. At least maybe you got a tank and a charger with the kit, so hopefully it's not a total loss?

Maybe the place is going out of business because they sold crappy batteries.

Sorry I have no constructive advice, but a batt with a malfunctioning power button would kind of scare me a little.

I just had a thought (scary, I know). I had an inexpensive ego battery and when I twisted the clearo off of it the cap of the ego came off. It was connected with a wire to the button and the battery inside. I popped it back on and it continued to work. I

I asked my B&M guy about it and he says that happens sometimes with the cheaper types but it would still be ok.

Anyway, I don't know anything about wiring and all that stuff but I wonder if something is screwy or twisted up in your battery. Could you pop the top off and see? Maybe someone smarter than I can tell you what it should look like in there, or even if that is a good idea or not.

Well I played around with the center pin carefully and it looks like it wasn't quite settled. I used a toothpick and gently went around the entire pin several times over and kept trying the clearomizer. It now seats on snuggly and the button works as it should. Thanks for your advice and definitely your concern. I will certainly keep an eye on this battery should it start acting funny. Once again thank you!
