The instant head rush with analog cig is not yet replaced with the E-cig. I find a really good throat hit does play with my mind enough to accept it as the real thing sometimes ( which is really good ).

Throat hit needs to get better while still staying smooth if you know what I mean. I also think a lot of what I miss about analogs is all the other chemicals they add to the cig to make it go to your bloodstream quick, your head quick. Those are harder to give up than the nic it seems. With time, it can be forgotten, but the act of smoking for so many years is more difficult. This is why I hope they can make some E-cigs that will replicate real analog cigs more closely such as throat hit,

It sounds like what you are looking for may be the Prodigy, which just hit the market. Here are the reviews, which indicate that the Prodigy addresses most of what you seeking (click on the link titled "Prodigy reviews" below)...

Count me in as a chain vaper too. :)

I've smoked for over thirty years, putting away 2-3 packs a day, depending on what kind of day it was. In the past few years, I've tried everything to quit smoking. The patch, Chantix, gum, pills, Smoke-Away, hypnosis, you name it. What I finally realized is that the reason that these methods did not work for me is because they only addressed the nicotine addiction without addressing the habit itself. Which is a huge factor in my case.

I believe that, over the course of many years, the very act of smoking, the hand-to-mouth fixation, the holding the cigarette, the automatically lighting up, the whole inhale/exhale thing, it all becomes a part of our identity, our personality, an extension of our selves, so to speak. I know, with all of the other methods, I just honestly didn't know what to do with my hands all of a sudden, lol. I felt completely out of whack with myself, like a part of ME was missing, and extremely sad and depressed for reasons that I can't even explain except to say that it sort of felt as if I'd lost my best friend. In thinking about it now , I guess that the "lost" best friend was actually that part of me, the habit itself. Hope I'm making a little sense here, lol.

Although I'm not completely off the analogs yet, I hope to be soon. I am down to about 8-10 a day and that's enough to give me hope. The ecig is the only thing that has ever given me hope that I can quit tobacco altogether. And manage to stay sane while doing so. :D

everything you said is right on

i have been off analog from the first vape 2 weeks ago and i am not having any trouble at all staying away from smoking
i smoked for 35 years and the last 10 or 12 years - non filters - roll my own buglers

a few times - i reached down and picked up the rolling tray and started to get the tobacco but i stopped myself as soon as i realized what i was doing - it was all subconscious - another time while typing on this forum with the ecig hanging out of my mouth - i reached over and grabbed the lighter and stopped myself right before i tried to burn the ecig

this is what i call habitual stupidity
i am glad to replace it with habitual continuous vapidity for a while

haha i didn't know vapidity it is a word .

aha - i looked it up as i vapidly vaped the full vapidness and total vapidity of the vapid vapors when vigorous vaping .

i just thought of something - since i am using the joye 510 manual switch -
i bet if i ever try an analog again - i will be pressing on the side of the cigarette when i take each puff

I found myself sucking on my vapor more then I smoked. I keep carts full around me with different color atomizers on them. The colors represent the flavors. Some have nic and some have none. I find you can taste the flavors more when you switch. And I can control how much nic i get by how often I pick ones with nic in. I keep 4 carts full and caped with an atomizer and two batts in a little pouch.

3 or 4 puffs with this one few more with this one ....put it down ....... 2 or 3 here then 6 more from this one .... pit it down .......

edlogic, I am a master of habitual stupidity, lol.

I can't tell you how many times I've almost lit the led of my ecig. Nor the times that I've "stubbed" it out in the ash tray. Right now, I'm going back and forth between analogs and ecigs (mostly using the ecigs) and, occasionally get confused. I've accidentally laid a lit analog down on my table or desk, absentmindedly thinking it was my ecig, I suppose. Then there was the time that I accidentally tucked a lit analog in the pocket of my jeans. I won't be forgetting that any time soon. :D

I'm thinking that the sooner I switch exclusively to ecigs, the better. As a matter of fact, I'm thinking of making July 4th my quit date. After all, it's Independence Day and I'd like to break completely free of the analogs, once and for all.

Lainey, you made perfect sense! My husband and my mom have described that exact feeling to me when they have tried to quit analogs. I have quit analogs a few times in the past 25 yrs and although it wasn't quite like that for me, I can definitely relate.

My husband and I have not had an analog in 4 days. We actually started vaping in early April but we started off with Njoy's NPros and didn't have very good luck with them. We then bought the Janty Stick and so far have had an awesome experience with them. So good that we too are chain vaping! Hopefully the novelty will wear off some and we won't continue to burn through so much juice as we are now. Then again, e-smoking does beat analogs any day and we are feeling so much better physically! Yeay!!!

maybe after two weeks like me - you will begin to take the baby steps of putting it down a couple times a day .

i smoked non filter buglars before - but i vaped so much that i had to cut the juice down to about one half strength and it still was too much so i took someone's advice and left some juice at half strong and then cut the other half of it way down - so now i vape the stronger juice a little bit and then go to the weak stuff until i can take that next baby step and put it down for a little while

Are you trying to wean yourself off of the nicotine altogether? Just curious. I find that I chain vape mainly when I am sitting at the computer or driving (which I do for a living). Dunno if I am going to wean myself off of nicotine anytime soon, but, the baby steps that you mentioned will definitely help either way! Thanks!

31 years of analogs...
yes, I've come close to lighting my e-cig with the lighter that's been glued to my right hand for years
yes, I keep looking to make sure it's the e-cig when I lay it down after a vape

and
I have a cart filled with vg, distilled water and flavor.... no nic at all- that I can vape to my healthy heart and lungs' content

the rest are filled with a mix that's light on nic juice... vg, dist. water and flavor

btw - anybody like tobacco flavor juice.... check my classified ad - am open to trades too.
Dang - never thought I'd dislike tobacco... vapin' sweet stuff is so much nicer.

thinkin' that morning and evening analog has got to go - soon.
Almost 2 weeks vaping and every puff on an analog makes me wonder WHY I lit it in the first place. hmmm -

not trying to wean myself right now - i am cutting it down because i am vaping so much that i am getting more nico than is comfortable

right now i am indulging so that i make sure i don't go back to an analog not even once - after the baby steps i will hopefully get to where i don't need a constant pacifier - then i want to consider weaning off the nico

If you were a 1 and 1/2 pack smoker what dosage and how many puffs should you be taking ? My husband seems to be off the cigs but now addicted to the juice? Why aren't the ingredients posted.. This stuff is like liquid crack.

so far i probably puffed about a million vape hits and so far it hasn't come close to being as dirty as one single analog puff

so i wouldn't be too concerned about how many puffs or it is being like crack

if you get too much nicotine then you will know it because it will feel like you smoked too many analog cigs at one time - but without the tar and poisons of tobacco

the ecig juice has water and propylene glycol and / or glycerine and optionally nicotine

can't be nearly as bad as analog cigs or crack because if you puffed either of those like you can an ecig - you would croak

Count me in as a chain-vaper too I guess. When I'm at my computer, it's constant. I only have the two batteries, and when both are charged, I alternate between flavors until one battery gets low. then it's on the charger until charged while I vape the other one.

Anyone else get headaches from vaping, by the way? It doesn't happen all the time, but sometimes I just stop because i'm getting a headache, even after just a short time.

scottro, I don't get headaches but I have gotten light headed a few times. I cut down on the nicotine dosage and it hasn't happened since. You may just find that the headaches disappear if you go with a slightly lower nicotine dosage. :)

I vape constantly at the computer too. Especially when reading this forum, lol. It's impossible not to. Especially when everyone is talking about all of the yummy flavors.

One thing you might try is dripping some straight glycerin into the cartridge when you feel like you're getting too much nic. It gives you lots of vapor so you feel like you're "smoking", but it dilutes the nicotine considerably. That's what I do when I've been hitting it a little too hard but still have the need to "do the ritual".

Very similar to my approach.

As indicated in my signature, I am very much a chain-vaper. However, I don't need (or want) a nicotine-induced throat hit every moment. What I enjoy is regularly sucking on a stick and inhaling/exhaling pleasingly flavored 0 mg vapor (PG + VG + H2O + flavor). Typically those flavors are the fruity/deserty type.

Every hour or so (similar to my previous analog cigarette breaks), I vape a ~12 mg concoction (36 mg PG + plain PG + VG + H2O + flavor) to get my nicotine fix and throat hit. Typically those flavors are tobacco and/or nutty.
