Chain vaping?? Do people do everything one-handed?

I've read a lot here about "chain vaping." What does that mean exactly? So far, I guess I'm doing this like I did with cigarettes. I stay busy doing what I need to do, and then take a short nicotine break. Then it's back to my regular life again.

I guess since I didn't "chain smoke" I probably won't "chain vape."

After fourteen months, my jaw muscles have strengthened to the point that I can hold a 1,300 mAh battery in my mouth for periods of up to ten minutes, chain vaping away. Your mileage will vary. :)

I used to chain smoke, so it's not at all surprising I chain vape. My mother, on the other hand, puts hers down between hits and picks it up again. We're all different.

Yes, we are. I think I'm like your mom.

Doing things the way you are, taking nic breaks, is perfect if that's what works for you!

I did the same initially but after a short time, I started vaping throughout the day while doing other things as well. Didn't take me long to realize I didn't have to set aside a 'break' time to vape! There's no chance of burning anything, etc. or having to go outdoors (I never smoked in the house), so I don't have to anymore.

I leave my mod sitting where I'm at most of the time, and reach over and take a vape. I don't do everything one handed, and this doesn't really answer your 'chain-vaping' question, but just wanted to show that your habits may or may not change over time. It's all about what works for YOU! :)

Thanks for all the responses. Looks like vaping is like smoking as far as how often, and how you do it. But it's all good, if we are off cigarettes!

I come from an older generation that came of age in the 50's. There were all sorts of silly notions about what a "lady" could and could not do in public. I actually remember my aunt telling me, "A lady NEVER smokes while walking around. You should sit and look pretty while you smoke." Sounds crazy now, but that's what it was like in those dinosaur times. When you could still smoke in public places, I always felt vaguely wicked if I walked while smoking.:)

I started college in 1965 and still remember listening to the Dean of Women's speech to us females and that is what she said! That, and 'if you get pregnant, you will be immediately expelled from this college!' :?:

Not to start an OT battle on the thread...but what did they do to the guy who got the woman pregnant? Assuming he went to the same college, he was expelled, wasn't he? WASN'T HE?

Ah, the sixties. I'm so glad I wasn't born until the end of them.

I am a real newbie and was wondering the same thing. I keep reading about how batteries don't last thru the day :-/ I have a gen Joye Ego-C I think as it as the logo stamp on the bottom of the battery. It doesn't have the twist but does have the variable voltage lights (white/yellow) that can be changed. I have not charged it since the 26th of December and it sat turned off until the 3rd when I started using it. Still going strong but for safety sake I have it on the charger now. I was expecting it to just die here any minute based on what I was reading LOL
This forum is awesome. I have learned much :)

I don't get chance to vape much at work, so at home I make up for it.

I have a vape-imp, he stands on the arm of the chair, holds my 6 different mods, swapping them at my request (he does have 6 hands though), presses the button when I give him the nod and holds the device so I can have a toot. I've even trained him to fill up the juice when needed, he does struggle a bit with the child proof caps though - that was the best dream ever last night

I've only been vaping since Dec. 28, so my experience is extremely limited at this point. I had gone through a pack of analogs every other day for 5 years or so, after being a heavy smoker for years prior, and considered myself a fairly light smoker. I seem to be vaping more than I actually smoked. I think that's partly because I don't puff away on it the way I did with analogs. My nephew, who turned me on to e-cigs, said he practically chain vaped at first. He has slowed down considerably since then.
