I bought an ego starter kit from a B&M after struggling with prefilled nasty cigalikes on and off for 2 years. The ego kit worked where the blu kits and whatnot did not. I rapidly escalated from ego, mvp, provari, mech, and have tried most of the clearo/carto and some of the rda/RBA. This last part is in a few months.... :) The good part is no smoking, no complaints from the wife about how bad I smell after smoking, I can vape on the couch. And finally after 35 years of 1 to 2 packs a day I can make it up 3 flights of stairs without hacking up a lung or passing out.
You by passed the stuff I did and went straight to some decent gear, congrats!
I too smoked menthol, I found the flavor that tasted most like what I was smoking and bought an industrial bottle of it. I also bought 2 10 mil bottles of "Fun Flavors" I ran out of the fun flavors pretty quick and bought 4 fun flavors, then 6 then..... At any rate I still have the industrial sized bottle of tobacco/menthol and have not touched it for a while.

Congratulations in making the steps towards a healthier life, and good luck on your new hobby. :)

My advice: set a budget as to what you spent on smokes, spend every penny of that on vaping. In a very short time you will have sunk enough money into vaping gear that you can actually see sitting on the desk or whatever that you will feel guilty if you start smoking again.

thanks for all the kind words of encouragement every one i am currently going on 30 hours and not a single analog yet !
still getting the craving but when i do just vape for a while and think about why i am doing this.still not saying i wont have one but for now 30 hours is by far the longest i have ever gone ever !

Excellent! I think most folks here seem to start "on a lark". At least from what I've observed, no one anticipates how effective these things will be at getting you off real smokes. It's always sort of a really pleasant surprise. And yes, I told myself "still not saying i wont have one", too. Then, a mere couple days later, I realized I really didn't want one. No head games either, I really don't.

i wish my step dad knew how to turn a computer on, let alone visit a forum. the amount of stories i see from 20+ year smokers saying "eff that" when they try vaping is amazing. i only smoked for 13 years but holy crap, this was the easiest to stick to way of quitting i've found.
congrats on your current success!

thanks, yea i was a bit dubious but for me the taste was a big thing and nuport is doing the trick for me i also have some 555 menthol here to try next and i will be "saying it" for at least a week then we will see :)

Good story Mr.
I quit cold turkey the day I got my first kit. My thinking was I'm replacing cigarettes with vaping.... And it sounds like your already there. You'll be set for a while with equipment, only thing you have to purchase is juice and some coils. My vaping budget is 40/ month average.
yea that was my thought also as for juice i have 60ml of nuport -30ml of 555 menthol and on monday a package from mt baker should arrive and in it should be 5 different flavors for a total of 250ml more :) coils i plan on rebuilding myself i have a total of 4 right now 2x 2.4ohm and 2x1.8ohm gonna test both types out to see what works best for me.

Good I was gonna recommend that you get different flavors to change it up to avoid the dreaded vapors tounge "can't taste the vape flavor" because taste buds get bored to

I had the same habit and bought almost the same setup. Both me and my girlfriend were embarrassed to know we smelled like that. Coworkers come in from smoking and my mind is blown. Stick with the vape. Eventually you'll frown on analogs. All the reasons you quit will just become more and more obvious (not sure that's the right word).

And congrats on kicking the stinky sticks (that's what we call analogs in my house now lol).

Another thing! Not sure if it's been mentioned or not but earlier you said that you loved to tinker. You owe it to yourself to check out mechanicals! Tweak until you find the perfect vape for yourself. I didn't stop touching analogs all together until I discovered my kayfun with microcoil and cotton.
