You've already pep talked yourself twice good sign!

Further more from 6:00 on you officially have been a non smoker! Congrats!

My advice if you haven't already done so
get rid of all paraphernalia of the analog habit Ashtrays lighters packs whatever ya got even if you just hide it out of site out of mind.

Biggest habit I noticed I had to work past was my body's habit of reaching for the pack of smokes. So I started sitting the mod where I would usually have my pack sitting.
omg you are so right like i said before i have this pack sitting in front of me and i get the urge to grab one but everytime i do i just vape a lil somehow in my mind the analogs need to learn who the alpha device is lol.

I bought a 510 battery, a Vivi Nova tank, and some cheap strawberry juice on a Friday, smoked my last analog on the following Monday. That was over 2 months ago. I don't miss it one bit. I laugh at those suckers freezing their ...&$ off for smoke now. NEVER AGAIN! Plus, my wifes not nagging me about stinking when I get home from work..Bonus!

sup MR. Mad,
well, you might not want to have a pack too close to you, especially if you are used to smoking indoors.
i already only smoked exclusively outside for many years, so i did not have a "pack at hand".
Still have not thrown away 2 half packs and a near whole pack yet, but i don't leave them in plain sight either.
I make sure - absol-fen-lutely sure, the vape gear is near by and within reach.
Anyhow, i don't chain vape per se. i find myself liking to take a few hits every hour or so.

You'll have to find your rhythm and keep at it. Some have to chain vape during the "quitting" phase then can just do hits now and then. Some chain vape and still chain vape. Do the joose hunt if you don't do the equipment hunt. It'll keep your mind occupied.
Glad you found a joose you can enjoy somewhat - i think this is so key to quitting regular smokes.

thanks and who knows it may just be i have had a pack in front of me the whole time and every time i get the urge i vape and ignore i still have 3 more packs of analogs and told the mrs those are the last i will buy. they are the last of my crutches after they are gone no more training wheels.

You might not make it through those three packs! Don't beat yourself up if you need a cigarette now and again, but pretty soon they will start to taste horrible to you. Just keep going as long as you can without one, and remind yourself that you have everything you need in your vape. I never consciously "quit", and yet, I have three packs of year-plus old cigarettes in the freezer from my last carton. I had 5 packs in there when my first set-up came in the mail, and I still have those 3 packs, plus a single cigarette in an open pack in my desk drawer.

You've got this! :vapor:

you know what nothing would make me happier than to throw the money i spent on those cigs away !
and honestly the more i vape this nuport flavor the more i like it the menthol is pretty good its not minty like i expected and would have hated . someone gave me a disposable that was supposed to be menthol but tasted like wintergreen and i didnt like it much.this is much much better.

You got this. If you've made it this far, you can do it. Just don't be afraid to compensate with a bit more vaping than you smoked. Once you're off the bad stuff, it will be a lot easier to ween yourself down on the nicotine later. Enjoy the vapor, and forgot the cigs!

MR. Mad, I am officially doing a happy dance for you! Now with this cold weather coming our way you can stay snug in your house and fiddle with your new gadgets! It sounds like you've read quite a bit and are very prepared. Just wanted to let you know that there will likely be a tiny itty bitty bit of withdrawal-like sensation over the next week or so. When that comes on, just chain vape like you are trying to steam up the whole house! Best of luck to you, I have a good feeling about your success.

First off WELCOME TO ECF!! and welcome to VAPING!!

ohm waver is normal, it can vary by .3 ohms on average as the coil ages.
make sure things are snug as far as connections but dont over tighten too much,
Vaping is different from smoking, it requires a tad bit more finesse.
I went from 2PAD to 1 ciggie a day took a few months tho while vaping too ( the psychological addiction was hard to break)
Be careful with the Vamo's they dont like to be dropped
once you get comfy with vaping and read some more on coil work consider an RSST Tank or a Kayfun 3.1 clone

congatz on becoming a vaper ...

When I started vaping I had no intention of quitting, I just thought I'd try this to cover the times I'm on the road (I travel a lot for work) can't smoke in the house, can't smoke in the airport, can't smoke in the rental car, can't smoke in the hotel yadda, yadda, yadda. To make a long story short, when I started playing around with my PV and trying different juices I just sort of "forgot" to light up an anolog. I may have smoked a few here and there, but nothing like my 1.5 - 2 PAD habit that I'd had for about 45 years. After about a week the analogs tasted bad, and I craved my root beer, cherry, licorice, or cocoa mint vapes, and NOT my Marlboros, so I just stopped buying them. I'm now smoke free for about a month and a half.

So stick with it ... find some juice flavors you enjoy (don't think you have to duplicate the tobacco taste) ... and remember, if you slip up and light up a "stinky" now and then, the important thing is to count the cigarettes you didn't have, not the ones you've had.
