I bought a kanger t3d tank recently and when I switch out the liquid to a new flavor they seem to mix even when I pour the old fluid out. Is there a way to make surethe flavors don't mix when you switch?
Well you need to clean the tank when you intend on using a different juice. You also need to consider switching or "dry burning" the coil. The term might not be dry burning. I can't remember been awhile since I used kangers.
You can clean the coils as well. I just rebuild them for much better flavor and performance but I'm sure lots of people can give you tips on how to clean a Kanger coil.
You might wash it with hot water. Dry all the parts well. I watched some good youtube videos on thoroughly cleaning the coil. Or soak the coil in some rubbing alcohol and put in a new one to use while that one is being cleaned. After a few hours run the one that was soaking under hot water thoroughly and set it aside to dry for your next juice change.
Rinse your tank of course if your changing flavors and know how to do so just re wick it only takes a few minutes. If your not into building just change out coils. Rinse your old one out with hot water or as someone else posted a little vodka works wonders and let it dry over night. If your in a hurry and I dont recommend this as a normal practice but Ive done it to get by you can rinse the coil out with water and use a little compressed air in a can to dry out your wick. The first few hits will be a little tasteless and vaporless after doing this since there will still be a little water in the wick. As I said dont do this regularly Ive only done it a couple times when I didnt have other coils or couldnt re wick.
I keep extra coils around for when I swap juice. I disassemble the tank, rinse out the components, dry, refill, and pop in a new coil. Then I clean the used coil and let it dry for my next flavor.
I personally do what has already been suggested but with one exception: I usually do not let my parts dry.
When I'm done cleaning, I shake each part well to get the excess water out, and any leftover water in the coil will either be dry-burned off or vaporized along with the juice. Sure, a bit of water will get in the mix if you don't let it dry, but I can't say I notice much if any difference in taste. I'm just impatient, really.
Your going to get some residual cross over till the old flavor is vaped out and the new once seasons in.
I usually dedicate one tank to one flavor, and it keeps that flavor till it's all gone, and I don't remix. I do occasionally vape the same flavor in a tank and a dripper, and rotate it to a different tank when rebuilding. But not often. Have one tank that has had the same flavor for like 9 months now. Though have tweaked the recipe here and there, it's the same juice. Course the same atty was being vaped at 9 watts then, and now it's being vaped at 75, so the flavor and experience has changed dramatically, but it's still the same flavor juice.
