this is for an ego type battery. you have a wall wart thing. can you use this with it...



or do you have to have the one that is like this...

The bottom one is the only type that I have seen. They look like they are the same thing, but one has a wire or cord attached for more length.

Always get an ego charger with a cord. Last thing you want to do is put all that weight on the usb port.

Look at the rating on the charger. I have a few different Ego chargers I got w/ my clones, but they're all rated at 420ma and can be used interchangeably.

I believe that dongle is to used with the Apollo cigalikes, the smaller cigarette style battery. Apollo does have an wall that they say can be used for all Apollo kits. Apollo Wall Adapter - for all Apollo Kits

The charger for an Ego style battery should be marked, with 420ma as the output somewhere. Less than that and it is designed for the smaller batteries, and not recommended for Ego style batteries.

If you could post what the wall wart has written on it and what the dongle has written on it, someone will let you if they are compatible with an Ego style.

One other thing, the wall wart for ego batteries is rated at 5v and 500ma.

I don't like charging ecigs on the computer so I always use a wall wart. most of my ego kits came with the dongle thing and a wall wart.
I recently got this:
Holiday eGo Kit

the second pic shows what came in the kit. no wall wart and no dangle thing, just the first thing in my pictures above

so I want to charge it on the wall but I don't have spare dangles

the little thing says
output 4.2v 420 ma
input dc5v (I think, it is hard to read )

the wall wart reads
input ac100-250v 50/60hz
output dc5.0v
dc500mA

I got the kit for a friend but I don't want her using the computer to charge it so I want to get a wall wart... and am hoping I don't have to get a dangle too

I personally wouldn't use it since it has a higher rating. A lot of ppl want to charge their batteries as rapidly as possibly, but such charging is bad for Li-ion, and if you did it continually it would reduce lifespan of the cell. The laptop may take a bit longer (although I haven't noticed this for my Ego clones), but it's a healthier way to charge Li-ion. Topping the battery off to 100% isn't necessary either. The last 10-15% of charging takes a disproportionately longer amount of time compared to the main bulk of early charging, since it has to transfer the power at a slower rate. I don't usually use my laptop either tho, normally I have 1 of my chargers plugged into the USB jack on my cable box, and just use that. As for using the 500ma charger, the battery may have a chip that'd protect it from damage, but I wouldn't risk it w/ the way I take care of my batteries. There's some good reading on batteryuniversity.com about Li-ion batteries, and I'm trying to prolong the life of mine w/ tips from there.

The ratings you listed are correct for an Ego style battery, if you get another wall wart like the one you have for you friend, you should both be set. According to the link you provided the kit comes with an usb charger, the charger should have no problem with a wall wart that the same as what you have listed.
