Charging Manuals

Well, here's my newb question for the day

Today's mail should bring my first Volt manual batteries. All my other batts are auto's and charging has been pretty straight forward.

On the manuals, should the battery be:
a)on
b)off
c)it doesn't matter
before placing it on the charger? Searched but couldn't find the anser to this.

My guess because i dont have any manualsisthat it is fine either way. The reasoning would be that they also can act as a hybrid passthrough. It wouldn't work as a passthrough if it was off

If it is the case then something doesnt compute.

I usually charge them off but I don't think it matters.

it don't matter on/off .

i keep mind off when i am not using it,its just me,but does not matter.

I am assuming you are talking about whether it is "on" or "off" based on the 5 click method.

Ok, I am no expert, but if you aren't pressing the button to fire the battery, I would assume there is no difference?

I have had 2 900mah manuals since May and never turned them "off" to charge. In fact, one is charging right now.

However, to be safe, I never charge or plug it into the computer. Why risk it?

Also, I charge mine in the bathroom on the hard counter, figured that's the safest place.

I don't let them charge when I am not home, but don't always manage to stay awake during the whole charging process....lol.

I never remember to turn mine off, but I heard they charge faster when they're off. Has anybody played with this?

Correct. Sorry, I wasn't clear about that. On/Off is the 5 click mode on the X2's.
