So....I have a question. I cannot count the many times we sang this one song in Sunday school growing up....but because it was never connected to anything, I was never terribly sure what its point was.... The song sent something like this:
Deep and wide, deep and wide; there's a fountain flowing deep and wide. X2.
~~~~ anyone?
Good morning ladies!:)
Oh how, cute, I just saw Dale's avatar. I love it!:)
Nice tank you have, Chapel. I am surprised to see no snow on the ground in the background of your pic, and you still have green grass. I looked at the weather channel last night, and 63% of the U.S. has a snow covering - yow! And winter isn't even here yet! It gets cold here in SoCal too. It's warmed up a little from yesterday, and I have my kitchen window open, but it's still in the high 50's ... supposed to get up to 65 ... supposed to get up to 77 on Monday.
Everyone bundle up and enjoy your day!:)
Man....I'm proud of you guys! You're just chatting away. Love it!!! I have felt awful the last how many days. I'm not going to post too much as I'm not up to it.
A URI (upper respiratory infection)is absolutely miserable! I praise God that I don't smoke anymore as I was that person that smoked regardless of what kind of sinus, bronchitis, pneumonia, etc. I was so stupid! Duh! But, when I would get sick, I always used Muscinex over cough medicine. It works on breaking up congestion and about the best OTC cough curbing pill. I use the DM maximum strength. I sure hope you get to feeling better.
My fibro has been going nuts....even my bladder hasn't been behaving. C'est la vie! So, needless to say, I've been in bed on and off for a while. I do think it's the colder weather. I hope all is well, better, and blessed!:)
Hi Saint!:) So sorry you're feeling so puny.:( I'll keep you in my prayers.
It would help your URI if you immediately eliminate all dairy products, especially any cheeses. Cheese has casein. Dr. Collin T Campbell, author of the China Study said casein, which is the main active component in cheese is extremely toxic.
He says:
In the traditional sense, the evidence was overwhelming. Using traditional science practice, we should be concluding that casein is a chemical carcinogen, perhaps the most relevant carcinogen that we consume.
Casein in cheese has also been found to possibly cause bladder cancer.
Hope you take extra special care of yourself ... we miss (((you)))!
Here's a little tip that always helps me: When you get up in the morning, put in a mug of boiled water the juice of a half lemon and a grated inch of peeled ginger. Use a little manuka or raw local honey to sweeten if you dont like it tart. I like it real tart, myself.
Also, twice a day, I use this miracle brew posted below. It is from a doctor, and it is yummy. My daughter loves it too. We like to stir a teaspoon of cinnamon in it. This is what we had on Thanksgiving day instead of red wine.
Sea! You sound like our in-house homeopathic woman! That is so awesome!!!
Good morning everyone. I am sorry you are unwell Saint. Same boat here, on the tail end.
Can you please....if you don't mind.....explain what effect the fibro has on your bladder??
If you would rather, you can take it to pm. I ask because I have the most curious symptoms at times...
Docs say there is nothing wrong with me, but If you ask my family, they say I am magical.
I have textbook symptoms for a couple of things, but nothing to back it up.
    Thank you Chapel. I spelled the honey wrong though.:facepalm: It should be manuka instead of the way I spelled it. I will have to go back and edit it.
    Thank you, Dale and good evening ... had to work today, so I'm just now getting on.
    You know....we could start a specific prayer thread where we could submit prayer requests and updates on them!
    Nobody has used it for a while ... I keep checking.
    My testimonial WRT inflammation.
    I've been a legal assistant and litigation word processor steadily for over 17 years. Because of the repetitive keyboard motions at over 90wpm, I got severe carpal tunnel syndrome in my right hand about 12 yrs ago. After cortisone shots did not work, my doctor wanted to schedule me for surgery.:( I told him no, that I would try to find a natural remedy ... I had read of one, but when I read it, I didn't have the issue ... just remembered that I had read it in the past. I began digging and found the report. So, I cured my CPS with 200mg of vitamine B6 taken 2 x a day. A little over 6 weeks is all it took to be completely gone. It never came back!
    Then about 6 mos. ago, also b/c of the repetitive actions of the keyboarding from all those years, I got arthritis in both hands ... so severe in my right hand I could not hold a pencil in it and it hurt! That healed quite well with 7,000mg of vitamin D per day and also the honey/lemon/ginger tea I described to Saint. In only a couple of weeks, I started getting relief. Now I can hold that pencil and make fists with both hands with no pain at all.:thumb:
    I love that Golden Milk ... sooo good. I use a little sesame oil in it which really kicks it up a notch in flavor.
    The problem with most people trying (inexpensive) alternative medicine procedures is that they don't give the cures enough time. They try it and expect it to cure within a couple of days. It just takes patience and a good attitude.
    Chapel, if you ever have any bladder issues, you might want to try cranberry water sweetened with a little Stevia Plus and diluted at least 50/50. Cranberry juice is a power food! If you want to drink it ongoing for prevention, you can mix together 1 oz. 100% pure unsweetened cranberry juice with 7 oz. plain filtered water. To save time during the day, mix a full batch (64 oz.) in the morning – add 1 cup (8 oz.) cranberry juice to a half-gallon container and fill the rest with water. Cranberry juice will also knock out gum disease ... it also kills the bacteria that causes dental plaque to form. Oh yeah, and did I mention it is good for heart health?
    Two good brands that contain just cranberries with no other fruits mixed in would be Lakewood or the R.W. Knudsen Just Juice series. In this case it would be called R.W. Knudsen's Just Cranberry.
    And off I go to make dinner.
    Chat ya later, ladies.:)
