I recently purchased a smoktech 510 atomizer. It works perfectly for trying eliquids I had made to see what changes needed to be made. Unfortunately they don't last long so I want to buy more. But they were the cheapest i could find any atomizers for and at 4 dollars its not exactly something I'm just going to run out and purchase 10 of without doing my research. I don't care if one has better taste quality or lasts a little longer i just want something dirt cheap that will vaporize my liquids. Also I already bought a 5 pack of cartomizer a for $5 and I've found cartomizers don't do the same job.

if you use a decent 510 atomizer, bridgeless, they should last a while.
If the coil gets gunked, soak in cheap vodka for 5 minutes, rinse, blow out, and dry burn.

Someone suggested to put a little cotton ball plug over the coil, offset to one side, it will hold a bit more juice and act like filler for more vapes.
When you want another flavor just change cotton and rinse the atomizer out, dry burn a bit and start over.

I ordered a Smok RDA which is a very small diameter RDA. Micro coil it, and cotton ball wicks are very easy to change out. Just dry burn the coil each time, slide a practically free cotton wick in and its like new

So you don't even thread cotton through the coil it's just surrounding it?

for a 510 or dripping atomizer that you mention, the coils are made for you and they have a silica wick, (which will hold up to some careful dry burning… after all you're talking cheap atomizers)… the cotton plug goes on top of the coil, offset to one side, to hold more juice dripped into it. and you can take the plug out when you are done.
this would be more of a "filler" than a wick, a little like a cartomizer….

if you get an RDA, I was talking about making my own coil (micro coil) and sliding a cotton ball wick into the coil yes.

Empiremods Bridge Free LR510 XL 1.5ohm (34mm)
LR510 Low Resistance Atomizer 1.8 ohm (Cisco Spec) - Avid Vaper
Both are really good! I personally use the avid vaper HH357. They are way expensive but in a year, Ive only killed one. I do STRONGLY disagree with others about dry burning. I NEVER dry burn. If you blow the atty clean every other day, they really dont gunk up much. I soak over night in vodka every two weeks. This works for me......to each their own.

I used HH357's for a year before going into RDA's… learning how to diy takes some time.
Loved them but went through a few dozen myself… yes, actually never dry burned them intentionally, but dry hits will do them in like dry burning

Dry burning is par for the course with rebuildables though; because you can easily remake them and its the best way to clean the coils. I also use thick wire; 30g, 28g, 26g.
