Full disassembly and reassembly video here

Te dang mod was simply too slick! I cannot stand chrome mods, but its what was available.

Prepping the mod for coating. (Drilled two additional vent holes in side of main body, by the top of the battery)
i turned it with a 70 grit sandpaper. Yup.. To roughen up the body.
end pieces were turned with 70 grit, then smoothed with 200 grit. And finally blended with a wire brush.

wow i can't believe the disassemble was that easy. NICE wires. My original lavatube wires would of snapped in half with those jiggles. That was easy. I haven't caught any of your videos before. I'm guessing you take a lot of mods apart... If you don't, idk how you would of known you could take this thing apart without breaking it. I just tried to take my 1st eGo apart (button stuck) and I ripped the wire right out of it. :/

Thanks for the review. The Vamo really does look like a nicely built vvmod outta china, for once.

Check out my youtube channel.

I disassemble and review most advanced mods "caveman style"

Its not polished or pretty, but i dont make it " look easy" either.

Its just as if you are doing it at your house as well.

So I've been trying desprately to disassemble my vamo, but when i try i end up scratching the hell out of the top piece. I CAN'T GET IT OFF!!! AHHH help! haha any tips would be great!

I tried too. No luck here either. I think Mr Ryno had the top piece already loosened to some extent before he did that video. There's no way these things come off that easy.

I used a set of BFPs.. And i did score the top of my vamo as well...

I just got my stainless one in, and will be doing another follow up video on this one as well

Trust me. I tried BFPs and a set of even "Bigger" FPs. And then Vice grips. I even tried singing that "Wiggle" song to it. Still no luck.

Posting this again just to make sure the info is available to those looking.

Just disassembled a VAMO for the first time using rnoserious's video as a reference. Couple of suggestions, if they have not been covered before:

As long as you are grabbing the upper end cap only you can apply a lot of pressure to get a grip. I use a strip of leather (old belt) to protect the finish and a Vise Grip perpendicular to the main body of the vamo. Crank that Vise grip on there pretty good. Then I used a small hammer to tap the vise grip down (well I had to whack it a couple times good) while holding the body of the vamo. Be careful not to hit the screen cover while doing this, i put a nice bullseye in mine :/ The end cap eventually pops off. Do this above a surface of some type so things don't fall too far once the end cap comes loose.

Then to remove the board, take out the plastic half-moon retainer first. I used a dental pick type instrument (o-ring pick) to lift it out, by wedging it on the opposite side of the body tube. The sharp pick will dig a little into the inside surface of the retainer and allow you to wedge it out. It should come out easily, it is not held in with any pressure or adhesive.

Once that's done the board lifts out without any pliering, etc.
