Ah .. personally I just skim things like that, take it as an uninformed and/or unintelligent opinion and move on. I think paying attention to everything, anyone writes is a waste of time. :)

I'm sorry...what did you say? I wasn't paying attention....;)

So, it looks like she updated her post after getting some info from a vendor. However there's still some major misinformation here.

My biggest beef is the "(Nicotine) is a powerful carcinogen". Actually, that's false. Nicotine in cigarettes is not what's carcinogenic, it's the rest of the junk. Nicotine has been scientifically proven to be no more harmful than caffein in small doses. Yes, it's still highly addictive, but it DOES NOT CAUSE CANCER! Hell a 2 second google search would tell you that much.

I'll leave the "reputable" FDA, HC comments alone, becuase we all know how "reputable" they can be when they've been thrown enough money.

Sorry Classwife, didn't mean to drag this on, but people yelling at you to "Check the facts" who haven't checked the facts them selves really burn my ....!

What micturates me off about that "article" is the author's insistence of making it a black and white issue between "safe" and "OMG DEADLY PESTICIDE RATTLESNAKE STRYCHNINE EVIL POISON." It has not, and has never been, about "safe" vs. "unsafe." It has been about "safer." Harm reduction, not elimination. The author bigging up the deadliness and vileness of (pure) nicotine and only then going on to refer to the amounts in E-cigs as "minuscule" is disingenuous FUD mongering. Nowhere does the author even acknowledge that nicotine is also in cigarettes along with thousands of other chemicals, most of which are really not good for you, and qualifying the amount as "minuscule" yet still complaining of theoretical second-hand vapor getting on the walls, furniture, clothes, etc. to be absorbed by others through the skin (um, no) is absurd. Because some nicotine is bad, nothing short of no nicotine is good. So I'm guessing the author rigidly avoids any and all food and drink that is bad for them, then? No alcohol, no saturated fats, no caffeine?

Yeah. Thought not.
