checking AO reading

Can you check the AO setting on a new carto before you fill it with juice? I have several cartos and have twice filled cartos and then they wont work as they were 1.25ohm. Would waste less juice if I can check it prior to juice. Anyone tried it? Don't want to burn/ruin a carto either. Thanks.

I haven't done it. But, don't see any reason you couldn't just drip two/three drops of juice on the coil and take the reading. Prolly depends on the carto your using. JMHO

Ive done it, no burned taste or anything..
